OY!
back on track, its rumored that you can put your own civs in, but i dont know how hard it would be to insert civ-spacific units, and how that affects multiplayer.
perhaps you would be FORCED into a CLASS of unit, like a "bombardment unit" wich is a suped up catapult or something, with DESIGNATED attack/defence/movement.
imagine joining a game with the "Jesus Lovers" civ, with their "GOD" unit, 100 attack, 100 defence, attacks like a nuke, prerequestitee: NONE, shield cost: 1. Movement points: Infinate."I've lived too long with pain. I won't know who I am without it. We have to leave this place, I am almost happy here."

That's not so much.
I'm surprised nobody jumped all over for saying God. I thought somebody might get affended if they were non Christian. I guess not which is good because people need to be less sensitive and more tolerable about religion. However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

In M.P. games I would expect the details of Civs available to be examinable prior to play. If the host had any stupid ones then people would just refuse to take part. The same goes for all of rules.txt or its equivalent. All customisation must be transparent so that everyone knows and plays by the same rules. To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection.

yes this bring sup an iteresting thought,,, why is that people feel the need to cheat by altering rules.txt or customising and not telling the other palyers, is winning so important, are they such bad players thy cant play without cheats??? I hope civ 3 is impervious to all but the most ardent attempts to hack/crack itGM of MAFIA #40 ,#41, #43, #45,#47,#49-#51,#53-#58,#61,#68,#70, #71
