I don't know if it's in, but it should be!

But if it's not in, I'm sure people will make it anyway and place it on Apolyton!

I don't care if the map of Europe is in or not, but what I really need is the world map!

But I guess, if it's not in, somebody will proberly make it
This space is empty... or is it?

Rest assured, Henk , good maps will be made soon enough. There are several cartographers active on this site. I for one will be willing to make good maps - ones that balance accuracy with playability.

Well, I'd imagine if Firaxis were to go out of their way to make a map editor they would make a few pre-made maps. What I would like is a map that would cover the western hemisphere and one that would cover the eastern hemisphere. In fact I would like to have a lot of pre-made maps by Firaxis. Regardless of how many maps they include I will still make a few maps myself.

On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

Other than a world map I would be pleasantly surprised if the game shipped with anything except the maps necessary to run their scenarios. European and American scenarios of some kind are quite likely if the figure of 12 predesigned scenarios is anything like accurate.

I hope they make the maps better than in Civ2. The Europe map was really bad. The Pacific map was even worse, I remember Hawaii being bigger than New Zealand. In the world map, Svalbard was the same size as the Scandinavian penisula. Just to mention a few.

Is it confirmed that we'll get a map editor?

No, it hasn't been confirmed yet. I was stating that if they gave us a map editor they would give us some pre-made maps. The reason why I did that is because people were stating that they would make maps if there isn't any pre-made world maps. Do you get it now?

They may not have confirmed a map editor but since they have stated that scenarios are included and they intend the support for the mod community to be the best yet I don't think they have to. Without a map editor neither of those things would be possible.
