Both sites are loading for me fine right now, but I do have T3 broadband connection, so...

They have to be updating soon, because an ad in the new TCG gives http://www.civ3.com as the game website. Check it out at this thread.

It could be just a few more hours even.
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

Or it could be right now! Or maybe they're giving away 100 fully-functional copies of Civ3 on a first-come first-served basis!

Calm down people, lower expectations... It's Firaxis we are talking about.

No, high expectations... I want to be severely let down today.

Possibly the trouble accessing the firaxis site was due to the big bad fire/explosion in Baltimore. Not sure how far from Baltimore the Firaxis office or server is but this could very well be the reason for the up and down state of the site. I heard reports that some fiber optic lines were damaged due to the fire.

Will Firaxis keep the same address for the new Civ 3 site?

Enough with that bribing! Just send to their HQ your veteran Spies and get every info you need

Just don't do a mistake, selecting SMAC "assassinate prominent researcher", or the game developing will be zeroed and resetted for another couple of years
