  • Cooler Diplomacy.

in this shot they show you possible answers to AIs.

what i find cool about it is that there is a formal yes, a formal no, and then a "forget this crap you moron" reply.

perhaps the AI will be insulted.

or is one of them just a counter offer. guess i proved myself wrong before i even posted this.

TOO BAD. I WANT MY OWN ICON.

How come the your gold value is different from bottom left and either of the other two??

    engineering comes before construction???
Destruction is a lot easier than construction. The guy who operates a wrecking ball has a easier time than the architect who has to rebuild the house from the pieces.--- Immortal Wombat.

Darknight, I think in a lot of the screenshots things are pretty screwy. This one isn't the first to have a logical mistake, such as the gold.

A possible explanation for the Americans having engineering before construction is that the Americans either got engineering in a seperate trade or they found ancient scrolls in a hut.

I do think that the options are quite limited for the replies. I would like to have a wide variety of choices.
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

I have seen some where that huts are not in civ 3.(see No Huts thread) I think these pictures are just mock ups to show what it is like and are not taken from a game of civ 3

But hey what do I know, only Firaxis can answer this. It would acount for the strange things though

Col Bigspear, how does your post have anything to deal with diplomacy?

It doesn't, however he needed to ask a question. So why not here?

I am sure that at least some of the screenshots are from actual games, but probably at least as many were made just for demonstration.

Your right it has nothing to do with Diplomacy but it does have something to do with the diplomacy screen. I first started to get suspicious when I saw a city screen with the next improvement taking 9999 turns for every city It's a mock-up.
I do care about diplomacy, it happens to be one of my fav things in a game. That and an accurate Nuclear/cold war era model.

As for the huts, there is a thread No Huts (or something like that) that says there are no huts in civ 3. I could have read it wrong, it was a few weeks ago when I last read it. The video mmmm.........are you CRAZY I aint downloading that thing, I'm constructing a CD at fileplanet and it might be the last thing i add to it, but I'm not sure yet.

Bigspear, i think that civ was in ANARCHY, thats why the production was 9999999 turns or whatever.

the MONEY made by the civ was ALL LOST to corruption as well.

perhaps production stops in anarchy as well?
