Oh Lord, I hope not anyway...it would be just the kind of sick and twisted joke I could see God playing on me, though. My stomach hurts. Markos, this is really cruel. CURSE YOU MARKOS!!!
YIN RESPONSIBLE FOR SID'S GOLF AND CIV3 DELAY?
(6 July 2001, 5:05 EST)
Unfortunately, it looks that way. Yin, by his own mistake, revealed that he is the first to mention the idea of a golf-related game by Sid Meier! Making a post about an old column article of his on civ3, everyone realized that the first mention of a golf game by Sid was made by Yin.
Therefore it seems clear now that the whole "I was leafing through a golfing magazine and I got the idea" story that Sid has given is simply untrue! Everyone can easily realise that a "I was browsing Apolyton as I do every day, saw the words 'Sid Meiers Golf' together and knew instantly that I wanted to do it" story is much more feasible!
It's really a shame that someone who has contributed a lot to the civ community, is the reason of one more delay in civ3 by injecting the idea of a new game to the developers....
