    KH:

Yin, in actuality Fall starts on or about the 21st of sept, and ends on or about the 21st of dec. Therefore, december is more properly considered a part of Fall than september.
Wow! We can't even agree on the seasons! Try this:

    http://www.worldbook.com/fun/seasons/html/autumn.htm:
The Northern Hemisphere, the northern half of the earth, has autumn weather during late September, October, and November.
    LaRusso:

I saw the update just now...nothing spectacular. I'm even more worried than before!
I've been on these boards for a long time and I still don't know what to think when it comes to you -- FrantzX, December 21, 2001

taking a comic cynical look at the release date,
when the game will actually be READY will be another 4 months after its released
      - due to 3 or 4 patch fixes

hopefully infograms or firaxis whoever has control will test and finish it first, and ignore the accountant dumbheads complaints about the cost of a long development process.

games used to be more imaginative before the big corporations took hold.. maybe firaxis can lead the way, fight these capitalist fools
not that i'm a communist or nothin'
just pleasantly on the left ( a good margin) of the middle politically.

Yin. . hmm, well try THIS. Look at a calander and notice when the fall start and end dates on. September has 10 days of fall. . december has 21 days of fall.

Oct 17th would be the 27th day of fall, out of about 120 something days. That's not even 1/3rd of the way through fall.

          Uh-oh?

The MGON preview included this disheartening phrase: "hopefully the game will be here early next year as promised"!

Considering that this previewer had just finished spending time in a face-to-face with Sid at E3, is it possible he knows better than the retailers?

          Just a thought.

*prays fervently that retailers are right*

Release dates are silly things...if you don't give one out then people won't gripe about them.

Believe me, if we didn't have dates to gripe about, we here at ACS would gripe about not having dates.

Well, griping is half the fun...it's just that some people seem to pull their hair out because a game is late.

                  Aha!

So, once again the Apolyton forums have solved one of the great mysteries of life: baldness is caused by missed release dates of software titles! (Further evidence being the proportion of bald men to bald women being identical to the proportion of male gamers to female gamers!)

But seriously, does anybody give greater credence to the MGON "slip" than to other prior release date indications?

A neverending source of pedantry VII

Nope; the first day of Autumn is the autumnal equinox, Sept. 21. The last day of autumn is the winter solstice, Dec. 21. BTW, connor, there are only ~91.31 days in each season. It's still only about 1/3 of the way through, though.

Your math is way off. You must have added an extra month or something.
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

The other day I pre-order the game at Software Etc. and Oct. 17th was the date listed on their computer. Yes I know the game can be delay. (SimCity 3000 was delay about 1.5 years)
