  • Units Causing Unhappiness

I don't understand why a military unit would make citizens unhappy by being out of a city yet still inside the national borders or even your city borders. I think if your military unit is still inside your borders of your nation the unit shouldn't cause unhappiness. Also if you're trying to liberate a city during a war and you have to go out of your national borders I don't think your citizens should become unhappy. Do you think the French citizens were unhappy when the Allies tried liberating Paris?
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

No, but the families of the soldiers doing the liberating were not likely too happy about it. Proud maybe... but not happy.

I agree, when they are inside your borders (unless surporting some tyrant) they should make the citizens feel safe from the evil AI!! Of course, if they are in combat outside the borders...that is a different matter...

Of course a defensive war should make them happy, as they are actively protecting them...
