My most wanted Civ III civ which was missing from Civ II: the ARABS!

How about an "I don't care" option...

I don't really care either way how many Civs there are to choose from. As long as I can make my own custom, and I can customise the Civ and Leader names of other Civs, I can make the world be whatever I want.

Speaking of which, I would really like to have a feature in Civ3 that would not only let you choose your opponents like in Civ2, but would also let you choose their Leader name, sex, pic, and let oyu change their titles, etc. A great way to customize each single player game without heavily impacting the gameplay!

I agree with you. Customization is a MUST! But, I would like to add, Customized Civs should be addable to the built in civs. You should not have to replace a built in civ to add one of your own.

I like your ideas about game set up as well. Also, we should be able to choose any combination of civs to play with, and assign colors after, not have them rigidly grouped by color and uncombinable as in Civ II.

I chose 16 because if the game has unique civs as expected it will be way hard to balance more than that number of civs. Of course that want to try can go ahead and do so.

Ancient, you still don't have a leader pic after changing the textfiles and by the way we we are talking about civ3, not civ2.

Yes, you have one, but the wrong one. But just replace the Aztecs for the Incas (I hate to give that advice) and the Arabs for the Turks. That's not to disturbing our aesthetic sense.

How can they do this to us- more choices equals more fun.
They most likely plan expanding it to 32 in the Add-On Pack

They may as well include a good number to make the games a bit more varied. Besides the more civs that can play in any one game (for example, if 16 sides were allowed to play at once) then the total number of civs required would be much greater...
