A few logic, but looping so many times. Especially if we play with large/huge map with max civs (as I always enjoy), and that makes the different quite large. For instance, the nice feature that fortified units, but awake when an enemy unit arrives (its not in Civ3 1.07f). In large/huge area with total units from all civs more than 2000, we could notice the different. Believe me, before my best laptop brokedown (luckily, it was not mine, but my company, so I would get better latter on). I used to play with 3 computers.
1. Conquest 1.0 with the best laptop I got (the one that was broke on last saturday )
2. PTW 1.27f (it has Civ III 1.07f, 1.27f n 1.29f and Conquest 1.0 installed
) on my dual CPU (but ugly video card, it was my home server, and I gave 8G HD just for CivIII).
3. Civ III 1.07f on my slowest laptop (since, its very fast, and I play it while I'm waiting for others)
So, I know the different times it takes with large/huge map and max civs as possible
