Why did they add Carthage to PTW? Carthage was a Phoenician colony. It was only one city. And it wasn't nearly as great as the Phoenicians were. They should've made the Phoenicians as the civ and Carthage as one of the cities.

besides cathago outstripped Phoenicia in both size and power by 250 BC when they begain to clash with Rome. By this time Carthage had colonies in Sicily and Spain, a challange to Roman power. In addition the Carthagenian Empire comprised most of what is modern day Lybia.* A true libertarian is an anarchist in denial.

Carthage was a political power unto itself. Most civilizations were originally colonies of earlier civilizations.
