There is only once way that I don't buy it :
If it is impossible to create szcenarios with events (no matter if the professional scenarios have them or not) AND if this lack isn't compensated by the presence of unit-trading.

    So, I guess yes

Of course I'm going to buy it. The few new features already made public are enough incentive for me, and there might even be even more features that Firaxis are yet to reveal.

95% yes, but no pre-order. I'll at least wait for the first few user reviews and the possiblity of a very quick patch.

I'm with statusperfect on this. It's unclear whether Conquests will be separate from the main game; or will we be able to use the new Civs in normal style games (some warfare, some peaceful building, etc). As long as Conquests is fully integrated into the present game, I'll buy.

I don't bother looking at reviews any more when Civ expands; they've always produced a wonderful game and I've never ever been disappointed. And if something doesn't work, they fix it.

              Apparently this autumn.
I'd say end October, since it is frequent in the industry to ship an XP one year after the vanilla game or the previous XP (nd they have done so last year).

I'm undecided. I love Civ, but haven't seen much in the Conquest announcements to get me excited at all.
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

depends. they'd really have to improve core game functionality and not just add some cosmetic improvements.

I'll more then likely buy it.

I'm going to use the same strategy I did with PtW. Wait until price drops <$20 and then ask around the forums if the game is good or not. Then I'll buy............

I have a feeling RoN and any other games that come out this summer will keep me busy until the new Civ3 addition is at bargain bin prices.

                        yep

I'll buy it straight away. I'm intrigued by the talk of changes in diplomacy more than anything else.

I also believe people learn from their mistakes. I expect patches, naturally that can't be helped, but after the bad press from the last release I would be very surprised if this weren't a highly polished product. As it is supposed to be.

Spiffor, you KNOW that if it has editable events then it will be buggy until the 1st or 2nd patch, and I hope there will NOT be unit trading (I never had those games where you could do it in Civ2).

I will probably get it the first day it is available, as I did with C3 & PTW. There will probably be all sorts of tweaks that haven't been mentioned yet by Firaxis.

I'll buy it. That is if I can find the time to play it.

I'll have a lot more to do this fall, and I'm not sure if I shall have Windows on my computer either...
