  • Which add on maps stand out?

I am most interested in maps of Europe, north America and "Middle Earth", but any well made or interesting maps would be welcome.

I sure have and I am overwhelmed.
In your opinion, which of the world maps stands out and why. Is it resources, and gameplay, or just esthetics?

Around Christmas 2001 I found two maps called "Earth - real [terrain]" and "Earth - real [cities]". The first one is Earth before the humans started to "rape" it for trees and the second one is like it is today. Both are 256*256. I haven't been able to find the maps later and I have done some changes to [terrain] (e.g. added bonus resources to allow bigger cities). I personally find these maps the best ones of Earth. Man also like Marla's world map. The best for you is to download some and check them out!

I enjoyed playing on Thaddeus Alexander's maps of Earth in earlier geological epochs, Pangaea for one example.
