There was a SUPER NINTENDO version of Civ I by Microprose. KOEI, the big Japanese strategy house released it in 1995.
It's actually quite faithful to the PC version. Only, it quite old by then. But still...
I'm hoping Firaxis do a GameBoy Advance / PocketPC Civ game. I need a game like Civ, even if its pared down, for the road.AI:C3C Debug Game Report (Part1) :C3C Debug Game Report (Part2)

I'm sure I've seen a version of Civ for the PlayStation on eBay. But Civ3 wouldn't work without redoing all the graphics - domestic TVs can't handle 1024 X 768 resolution.
Also, I can't see WHY Sony would want Civ on their console. It's not really a console game, is it?Some cry `Allah O Akbar` in the street. And some carry Allah in their heart.

IIRC, everything in Civ3 is accessible by the mouse, so a port to a console is not impossible per se. But I don't know if they'll raise their audience significantly enough to bother porting the game to PS2. Maybe they'll port Civ3 gold, once there are no improvements planned anymore."I have been reading up on the universe and have come to the conclusion that the universe is a good thing." -- Dissident

you would struggle on a PS 2 because it hasn't got a hard drive.
an x-box might work it thoughSpace is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

I have played CIV 2 on playstation and these are the major differences from CIV 2 Gold edition:
a) No MP (a given with PS1)
b) No editor; only default game
c) user interface and graphics were superior to the gold edition
d) no ability to automate workers or engineers (never did this in CIV 2 but I automate heavily in CIV 3)
Basically everything else was the same (ok there was Better music in gold edition as well)* A true libertarian is an anarchist in denial.
