Considering the size of North Estonia compared to what they had...yeah I can see that.

Besides diplomacy being key, this is another thing I've noticed about democracy games (and probably the PBEMs too)...don't get too big too fast or someone smaller will want to knock you off.

We could say that was our game strategy!

      Stay small!
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

We shouldn't have any problem with that for the near future.

Good. I was wondering if you would remember. We should be able to at least two rounds of revolution, maybe a third, before we want to go Republic.

          • 30 BC turn played.

GS offered us peace, Miller Town, and the 10 gold from taking Voice.

            Accepted the offer.

Moved all Estonia units into Miller Town.

Offered Miller Town to GS unaccepted. They will add the gold and send it back to us.

The galleys moved closer to our new home.

I noticed GoW is settling the NE corner of Bob.

Soon we will be in our new home.

            • Quick question though...I thought we were going to offer Miller Town accepted so our units would jump one turn earlier? Then they would start a new transaction sending us the gold. Offering it unaccepted means our units won't be in The New Voice at the start of next turn...or am I off base with that?

              • It doesn't matter. If we offered it accepted the units would jump when GS accepts it. We would then start the next turn with our units in the new land. As unaccepted, GS will add the gold and accept it, then we accept at the start of our next turn. Our units will jump to the new land then. Either way, next turn they will be in the new land ready to move.

                • Okay, thanks. I wasn't sure of the mechanics of that. Hmm, I should probably set up a test MP game for myself so I can verify some of the diplomacy mechanics for myself before I shoot off my mouth again.

                  • I forgot to mention that GoW did not send us any money this turn. I will contact them about it.

No problem. Shooting off your mouth is a good way to learn from others. There have been a number of times during the course of this game that I have setup a scenario and then played it using Multiplayer - Hot Seat so I could play all sides and see how things worked.
