I can see in a multiplayer game things happen a lot faster than in the SPDG. I get busy on a weekend with dog events and when I check things on Monday I find a lot has happened that I need to catch up on. So, I want to try to contribute more by collecting data, updating statistic threads (the Thread of Everything has not been updated in a while), and try to do more planning ahead and speculating so we are better prepared when something happens (like a war with one of the continental civs).
If you like this idea then I will need to get a save regularly. I think once or twice a week would do it. Preferrably don't send one just before a weekend unless I say it is OK. If I received one tonight (hint, hint) I could get started right away.
One thing I would like to see is a place that shows what agreements are still active (i.e., not yet complete) with each civ. It is too easy to forget sometimes just what we agreed to (such as a trade deal that was signed 20 turns ago for future techs). This is a situation I noticed while reading that huge original FA thread. I had a different perspective because I was reading it all at once over a few days when the actual events sometimes occured weeks apart. This could be done either as the first post in each FA thread, or in a separate thread. I like the separate thread idea as it would give at a glance all the deals still active. The info would be a simple line or two summary (XX owes us...) and a link to the post that contains the agreement. If in a separate thread it could be a thread specific to this purpose or part of the statistics thread.
