Do we research Polytheism next? This was my suggestion on the basis that other civs may not be researching this path - and it will be good for trading.
It would be useful to co-ordinate with GS.
But we need to know this turn. I say go for Polytheism. Then Monarchy, and then a government change. We could be the first out of despotism that way, and Monarchy will allow us to still pursue our expansion goals.
Our choices are:
1)Polytheism - 120 beakers
2) Mathematics - 80 beakers
Writing - will be traded for
Horseback Riding - will be traded for
3)Put research on hold until we do trade with GS and research one of philosophy (60), code of laws (100), literature (100), map making (120).
I suspect GS will do map making or literature next. With the way tech trading is going, I don't think the Great Library is as valuable as in SP. My suggestion in the city planning is to start the prebuilding for either the Hanging Gardens, or the Lighthouse, or better yet - the Oracle if no one has it by then, which they probably will.
