Jon - I don't think any of us do. This is the interesting part. The game lets you do certain things it has always allowed - ie trades - where you actually get the tech or luxury or gold, and EXACT map.
But with the demo game, there are things we can do outside the game. This will likely include all alliances, MPPs, etc, but also the where-are-you info that RP is talking about. Supposedly one could also give a written description of their territory, but not sure why.
It is not excluded in the rules. And it is what I expected was going to happen.
