What shold our civ be?

I like religious so that we can swithc between governments with ease

this would enable us to better respond to any situation

Industrious is a must.

The second should be either Scientific, or Religious or Expansionist.

well do we want to take out our opponeots early or late in the game, it early persians or celts if late germans, france.

We wont be taking any opponents out at any stage of the game, unless we're really lucky.

This is not the AI we're playing against, but human teams.

So the Industrial civs left are :
America (Ind, Exp)
France (Ind, Com)
Persia (Ind, Sci)

IMO commercial is a very weak trait, so this leaves us with America and Persia.

With America we're gonna have to build ~10 scouts pretty early in the game and get all those huts and civ contacts. So it's a huge early game bonus, especially against other human teams(who, we must admit, have significantly better players than us).

But scientific is more of a long term trait.

We shouldnt have science problems in the Ancient age thanks to our scouts if we take America, but later on things can be less favorable.

Being religious and having only a 1-turn anarchy (along with cheaper temples/cathedrals) is nice - I always play a religous civ because of this.

Persia is Militaristic and Commercial, not Industrial and Scientific...

hmm, I will wait to announce until after I check what persia is

and yes, that is why I always play religious also (culture, happiness, low anarchy)
