I will be gone tomorrow until @9pm EST or possibly later.

If the save can be played without me, please do. If there's some urgent matter either wait or hold a group meeting to decide how to handle it.

I may change the Saragossa build back to worker, but I want to see what Picahulu (the scout) and Arnie do next turn. We need to try to figure out if ND is just harmlessly scouting us or preparing for an attack. With Lux virtually dead ND can now afford to send a small group of troops to us to take the silk settlement site they originally had their eyes on.

Keep GuOps and the Bulgers in the jungle area, but keep moving them around so that ND doesn't think we're stalking them like Lux did.

If ND pulls out entirely and if you have any other reasonable signs of that we may have an extended period of peace, document it and change back to a worker in Saragossa. But if the current situation continues, we must build military units first until our borders are reasonably secure.

If any units have no orders, continue with their current trends. Do not enter ND territory and do not move both units close to ND at the same time. Try to move the units so that we can watch what ND is doing.

Pamplona: no changes unless the WFs weren't optimized according to my order for last turn. Could someone double check that.

I also need a copy of the save, please. If someone could email me that at "ruby_maser@hotmail.com", I would appreciate it. I need to look at what happened.

Ruby_maser, dejon posts every save at his page http://members.rogers.com/tharalon/saves.html

1550BC is already posted, so I figure he must be around here. Maybe you could play this turn Dejon? Since the only official players at this moment are Togas, Arnelos and Dejon we should wait until any of them come here, unless Togas posts authorizing some other to play the turn

It really makes you shake your head at how foolish Lux was. They could have peacefully settled down the coast where there was lots of room and even luxuries, and then built themselves up to defend against ND, but no, they had to pick a quarrel. Anyway, what is that Lux warrior doing? Waiting for Trip to pick him up in his UFO on the way to the Jungle of Quick-Reproducing Monkeys? Shouldn’t he be trying to pillage the iron?

I think that we all agree. It is very sad that Lux has been destroyed so early in the game, but they were asking for it.

A few more comments: Arnie is looking at how we send units to the front. I don't like it

And the spearman in Saragossa queue wasn't suposed to be a worker? After all the changes now I'm a bit confused and don't remember it.

I wrestled with the issue over a worker vs spearman in Saragossa for some time but came to the conclusion that, Worst Case Scenerio, ND attacks us as the Non-Agg pact runs out (in 9 turns), we need a spear in that city, not a worker.

Furthermore, I am considering having Pamplona build 2 spears then a settler, but I need to hear from Ruby_Maser on how much that would delay the settler for iron. I want to time the iron settler so that the city will be made a turn or two before the road on iron is completed. I need OliverFA to tell me how long it will take for the road to be finished, then we need to time the city build to be right before that occurs.

We may find that we have room to add a spear or two or three to the build queue before settler. We need units on the front lines now, not later. We don't need a city sitting by the iron for 10 turns waiting for it to be linked up.

With the present schema (Visigoth building the road, Ruby building the Pamplona Madrid road joined by Arnelos after forest choping) it is 1025 BC (21 turns). Using one and two workers extra gives us the iron in 1100BC and 1200BC respectively.

Fibrizzo has helped me with the calculations and is currently making the simulations for the roadcage proposal he will post them in a new thread
