I've replayed the 1625 BC turn and found an interesting thing : there are borders of a Lux's city in the upper right corner of our known land. If we send there our warrior, we could see what's happening in this area.

Another thing I noticed : Lux hasn't Mathematics yet. Perhaps we could sell them it at a low price to try to help them to face ND in some manner with these bombardment units. I don't remember if we have treaties wich could prevent this trade.

    Just a suggestion.

Wouldnt it be really daft of ND to build a city behind our borders? I mean really really daft? We'd culture flip it right?
I dont know where their settler is right now, but what if they decide to go towards madrid and colonize the last silk? It would secure them the entire jungle and a city right next to madrid. I suggest our 2 northern warrior units "escort" them out and that we send a polite message that the jungle is a no-go zone and that it constitutes our northern border, any incursion will be considered a hostility.

        Very good point Astrologix!

Not give it as gift, but sell Mathematics to Lux at a low price. To cover ourselves we can tell them that we consider this low price as the first payment and that we expect something else later if they survive.

Have you seen which other civs don't have mathematics yet, Astrologix? We don't want Lux to techwhore it!

LzPrst: If ND founded a city behind our borders it would be a permanent treat to us. Eventually we would have to conquer it, which would be used for them as an excuse to invade us.

If our new Great Despot Augusto Togas agrees, maybe Ambassador Ninot could negotiate with GS to see what they can offer us for Mathematics and meanwhile jdjdjd could negotiatie with Lux and hopefully both exchanges could be agreed in a few turns.

Pamplona grows again this turn. Please make sure that the WF are set to:
              Code:
                   shielded grassland, #2
                   [B]unshielded grassland, #1[/B] -- (new WF)
                   cattle bonus, #7
                   cattle bonus, #8
[edit]: I'm amending this to max food out completely while sacrificing a shield. We get the worker in 2 turns just the same, but we also keep the city on track to grow back to 4 in the soonest possible timeframe after the worker bumps us down to 3.
              Thanks

Why, because the food is so delicious there and Arab women are so beautiful and easy It’s a lot different from being a permanent threat to us.

They would turn us into lazy people who only want to eat arab food and stay with arab women. And when we wanted to realize, we would be conquered

OOC: They have higher culture than us, so our cities would be the ones fliped, not theirs.

And, if you ask me. Chineese women are much more pretty

                    Barcelona : no changes

I've decided that spearman is the best production for the moment. This could continue for still 8 turns, then we'll have 19 shields accumulated. We could then switch to an improvement, like barracks or temple, or to a galley, in case that we had Map Making. Building a new settler would be another possibility.

I assume that a new warrior (that could be achieved in 2 turns) is not interesting for our defense, because, we couldn't upgrade it for the moment. And I wouldn't create a new worker, because Barcelona is growing very slowly.

Assuming that a spearman is interesting in all cases, we still have 8 turns to decide if it should be switched to another production.

Madrid Expedition should go West to fight the evil big cat!

But seriously... North, or NW if Lux blocks us.

There is a foggy area W of Saragossa and N of Pamplona. A sentry is needed on one mountain in order to avoid any surprise.

I think there should be raised some critics of the two workers digging roads down in Barcelona. They could have been way on building the Pamplona-Madrid route by now.

Deal made with Lux. They will pay 40g for Mathematics. Offer Math this turn.
