  • the OCN for us?

Does anyone know the OCN for this game? IIRC, it is 16 for standard settings and I know it is (*1.25) for commercial civs. So ours would be 20, but I can't recall if difficulty level plays into that.

Señor Tamali, I thought you had posted on that somewhere, but I cannot find the thread...
"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country." -- Abraham Lincoln

"Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever, in flesh and blood, walked upon this earth." -- Albert Einstein, in regards to Mohandis Gandhi

Yes, please check that... it will be critical to doing any form of long-term planning in cities other than Madrid.

IF we are playing on a standard size map, then our BASE OCN is 16. That is modified by 5 things:

        1) Difficulty Level - Regent - 0.9
        2) Commercial Civ - Yes - Add 1 to number of Improvements
        3) Government - Despotism - 0.0 (Republic & Democracy get 0.1)
        4) number of Corruption combating Improvements (Courthouse & Police Station) that is on a city by city basis
        5) WLKD - For Production WASTE ONLY - add 1 to number of Improvements.

        Code:
        MOCN = Rounddown( Diff*16*(1 + Gov + (0.25* NumImp)))
So our BASE MOCN, without any Improvememts is 18
With a courthouse, that is 21
        With a courthouse & Rep/Dem, that is 23
With just Rep/Dem, that is 19
for Waste, with a court & WLKD, that is 25
        for Waste, with a court & WLKD & Rep/Dem, that is 26

That should do for now (up to Industrial)

The full Formula is in the Corruption Thread, in the Startegy Forum.

That's only part of the whole Corruption Fomulation, but that atleast is one of the main parts.

Thanks, E_T. That's the reason I was looking for it
