    2390BC - Orders, Report & Discussion

    We have the save.
    Orders for assigned units, please.

I am wondering about the hut this turn. We have been careful to change city build queues on the turn prior to popping huts, yet we have a settler at the start of this turn (which will build Barcelona). The hut seed is still assuming we have a settler, right? Should we wait another turn before popping the hut?

    I don't know. I don't normally go Settler Hunting.

    My Opinion:
If it's a tech, we got it before we would have.
If it's Money, we got it without having to change the slider.
If it's a Map, we got crap because that area is almost all explored
If it's Barbs, hope the Warrior survives the experiance.

If it's a Settler, Either build site 12 Immeadately or send him to site 4

[EDIT] any of these can wait a turn, IMHO [/EDIT]

Now that they are in the mountains, good luck for us ever dislodging them if it does come to war.

I would send TEG Due West (this will block the GoW from walking along the shoreline, we are exploring too...

The Bulgers, send them due south to fill in that dark semi ring and then move him to the west until getting to the Sea.

Atleast, that's what I would do.

It seems apparent that the mountains are the coastline, why else would the ND Scout now be headed East? So I think that we should move TEG SW, staying one step ahead of GoW in the southerly direction. If we move west, then they get a step on us southward.

I assume you mean the Pamplona Warriors, Señor Tamali - The Bulgar Warriors are scouting the area Pamplona, looking for the rumoured Magyar Barbarians. I agree that the Pamplona Warriors should move South, into the hills.

              Madrid expedition : South

I agree with Dejon to move TEG SW, to delay GoW's warrior progression is more important than exploring right now.

                Agreed, TEG goes west.

Pamplona goes SW ... although I am VERY tempted to kill that scout, and I'm having a hard time resisting.

                Settle city, then pop hut.

                    Results of 2390BC

TEG moves SW to remain south of GoW's warrior who seems to be favoring the coast.

There are 2 sources of gems in those mountains.

Pamplona moves SW to get a better view of the valley below, he is now south of ND's scout, who is heading back towards Pamplona, following the mountains for the best view.

Moved Bulgers West, staying on the mountains around Pamplona, might cut off ND's scout, might head north towards the jungle. For now, just looking for barbarians.

BARCELONA FOUNDED. Working fish. Spearman in production. Can be changed if needed.

Hit Goodie Hut. We got a lousey map.

                    Changed Pamplona to settler.

Moved Madrid Exped West, more jungle.

Togas - with Barcelona online, we are now getting +2 gold per turn. I assume you wish to rebuild the treasury. But in case you hadn't considered it, moving the slider to 90% or 100% would speed up Writing by at least a couple of turns.

I considered it, but with 2 gold in our treasury, I decided to wait a turn or two. We need a couple coins just in case our unit count overburdens our support on a turn and we miss it and lose a couple coins.

AND ... we do need to start saving (or selling) to get money to buy embassies after writing is discovered.
