  • Once the boarder is established - Possible happenings

Just thought of this after the GoW & ND scouts are near TEG.

Once we have the boarder Cities built (site #'s 2, 3, 5 & 6) and we are still backfilling, what do we do if one other the others sends out a Settler/Spearman Pair to try to settle in one of our spots?

Do we warn them and then have a possible War?

Do we warn them and then let them come in and take them just before they build?

Do we warn them and then take the city after it's built?

Do we warn them and then try to culture bomb the city?

Would we be able to fight a war, without degrading out ability to get connected & finish REXing?

THings we need to start thinking on.

    My position.....

state very publically that we intend to settle that land

if they dont settle it, we're sitting pretty, but if its GOW, or a very warlike nation in any case, we must realise they might take it by force down the road, because we kept it from them.

    IF they settle.

We finish our rexing, and then start the war machine. When we declare war, we state our reason being that we wish to install governors in land properly belonging to Spanish rule. If they say hogwash, we remind them that we DID state our intentions, which they ignored, and its payback time.

We have to keep face any ways we can.

And where does that leave us when dealing with Sites 15 to 17 (north & east of the Jungle)?

So far there are ZERO settlement agreements made. I know ND won't make one until they know what they're giving up. Lux is unofficially north of the jungle while we're south of it, but I'm going to try to instead draw the line at Los Sierra Brilliantes with Lux.

As for GoW, anything they build down here will have to go through ND territory and be horribly corrupt. I just think they're trouble makers.

They would have to cross our cultural border. We ask them to leave first.
