  • Warning from the Watcher

I enjoyed reading the Spanish Saga as most of you, and I find nothing wrong in creating a character named Hastragal Gisgar in charge of the duties traditionally assigned to the Watcher. But the literature likes complexity and contradictions, whereas the life is often simple and straight forward.

This is why I make this warning :

Do not expect, elsewhere that in a novel, to see a Watcher compassionate or feeling remorse, at least as long as I live. So take pleasure with the adventures of this romantic Hastragal Gisgar, but don?t fool yourself, he is much more sympathetic, attractive and friendly that any Watcher you could meet in the whole Empire.

    Statistical anomaly.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Torquemada, Torquemada, Torquemada, my old friend...foe...errr...lukewarm relation...

I can definitely assure you that the noble Gisgar is most assuredly not in the least modeled after you.

Gisgar was actually a historical character, if the olden...cough...posts...cough...are to be believed. According to some, he died eating squibs, which exploded, blowing his belly open. I choose not to accept that theory, going for the more conventional one as found in the Saga.
