2850 BC Orders, Report, and Discussion

    Standing unit orders:
Visigoth Slaves - move W (from oliverfa)
Magyar Warriors - move W (from pikesfan)
Madrid Expedition - move NW (Crousto)

    Movement orders required for:
    TEG (Interim commander - Togas)

    Madrid (Arnelos)
    Standing Orders (see Turn 8)
    Producing: Spearman (1 turn)
    Current WF: 3,20 (Cows, Wheat)

Arnelos - I am afraid that your wonderfully specific orders haven't been followed to the letter, and as such we are off target for growth. We also do not actually need the game this turn to produce the spearman in 1 more turn - could you go over your orders again? Hopefully we'll be more diligent from here on out about following them.

    Pamplona (ruby_maser)
    Producing: Warrior (2 turns)
    Current WF: 7

    Science
    100% - Writing in 22 turns
Check if we can reduce slider without changing turns.

    Diplomacy
If we are contacted by anyone via in-game diplomacy, do not continue to play the turn without guidance from Lord Togas. We expect the Madrid Expedition to meet a Glory of War warrior shortly, also do not continue to play the turn if this occurs, and let the team and Lord Togas know. Present plan is to trade them Bronze Working and Alphabet for Warrior Code and The Wheel.

    Screenshots
Please take screenshots that show all our explored terrain (World Map), city interior shots of Madrid and Pamplona for their governors, demographics (F11), and if the present scores are not included in any of these, include a shot of the score listing as well. Be sure to turn the grids on for the world map (ctrl-g).

Please provide orders, feedback, and suggestions below. When the turn is played, the player will post a report in this thread, and then discussion on the turn's developments will proceed.

Edit: Added Crousto's order for Madrid Expedition, and removed the WF change for Madrid, as per Arnelos' directions.

I'll have to look at that. Please feel free to change the production so that we waste as few shields as possible on that final turn (getting extra trade and food from the wheat) if that's workable.

I've been distracted from the PTW game this week, so I'll have to see whether I can take some time out this weekend to look at Madrid more closely in order to create a new plan.

Madrid expedition will go north this turn.
I've made this plan to be sure that we'll meet GoW as soon as possible (ie this turn) :

Should we send this to Ghengis Farb? (to tell them to move their warrior SE)

Excellent Crousto! Yes, I think this type of collaborative image will help smooth things over more. Since Togas sent the last PM to them, I think adaMada should send the picture, so that he is seen in a good light as well.

            Great!
And just to be 100% secure, I'd prefer that you email the image as a file to them... Don't send them this image's link (because I use the webspace where the image is to store stuff about this game, currently the tech race table and screenshots of the turn I played... that should not fall in evil hands )

I copied the image to my computer, then sent Ghengis the .jpg. Very good work, Crousto!

Quite right, Señor. We should note where he goes.

I have updated the top post with Crousto's and Arnelos' orders. The only remaining unknown order is for TEG. Now that the Madrid Expedition is poised to meet GoW, what shall TEG do?

                Shall they:
                - continue generally N, to scout the lands of ND and eventually of GoW?
                - head E, to determine the extent of the northern edge of the jungle?
                - head S, to resume the exploration of Cow valley?

Won't be long now. ND has sent the save to GoW, and GhengisFarb is online.

Are we going to have a turnchat? I can be online a bit more if needed.

GhengisFarb just sent us the save. As always, I await word from Lord Togas. In the meantime, here's a juicy morsel sent along with the save from GF.

They met TEG and the Madrid Expedition simultaneously!

Curious. Looks like Ghengis plays the "good guy" on his team. Can it be an strategy?

Looks like they didn't climb the mountain finally.
I change my orders for the Madrid Expedition to NW then.

Is it me, or does it look like the GoW Warrior on the left came OUT OF ND's territory?

it needn't to mean they came out of ND's territory, our warrior was moving up in the right imagebut seems moving down.
