  • [OOC] What level are we playing at?

THis might seem like a dumb question, but what level are we playing at? Is this game mod'ed? Is there some way that we can check?

THe reasons that I'm Asking these questions is because of the behavor of the population in Madrid. If we are playing at Regent or Monarch levels, the 3rd pop should have been unhappy. If the game is mod'ed or we are on some other level, then that would explain it.

I've done some resent testing in the 1.29f version and both of those levels have the 3rd pop come up immeadiately unhappy. As far as I know, the PTW should not be any different along these lines.

Unless I'm wrong, something is amiss.

Señor Tamali, we are playing at regent level, and our third citizen at Madrid DID become unhappy, but remember that the bad thing about that is that the effects of unhappy citizens don't show until the next turn.

Nope, the unhappy shows immeadiately. I'm looking at a game that I just started at Regent Level (1.29f) that the city just increases to size 3 and it has an unhappy.

THe effects of the unhappiness will take hold the next turn (i.e. Civil Unrest), unless something is done about it (like the lux slider or Specialist).

You are right, the effects are shown at the next turn, but the info is shown at this turn.

        Sorry for the mistake.

E_T, oliverfa's original theory was correct. In PLAY THE WORLD, I have seen that the appearence of unhappiness of a pop are not shown until the next turn as well as the effects. It appears to be a stupid PTW bug.

O.K., I just read the entire PTW Bug Report thread and have not seen anything on this. We need this Verified and Reported, so that it might be fixed in the next patch.

I don't think it is a bug. It was simply too easy to prevent disorder in regular Civ3. Hiding the visual queue to coincide with the unrest calculation makes it more challenging.
