T.E.G. moved north and discovered a vast jungle, stretching as far as they can see.

    Dejon,

I find something strange with your pre-end 3650 turn :

When I open it, the T.E.G. warrior is shown as he has finished his turn (it's normal), but Madrid builds the second warrior, as we were already at 3600 BC !

    Can you explain that ?

Senor Iwana Eta Tamali thinks that the Spot of Grassland that is just SW of the Warrior would be an Excellent place to have a new City. He will dispatch a small group of his family to go and check it out.

Hmm. I'm getting this as well. I suspect that Firaxis has some bugs still in pre-end turn saving. At least it isn't something more serious.

Well, I got a very serious problem. When I loaded the savegame when I was playing another game, I started with the view from the Legoland tribe! I quickly shut the game and when I loaded again from the main menu the problem was solved...

            [OOC]

What Civ where you playing in that other game? The one before you loaded up our game?

Togas, you might want to PM Soren about this. We might be able to use this to get him in our forum, too.

This type of thing does happen when loading from within a game. Always load from the main menu or multiplayer menu. Others have described problems like this in other forums. We can only hope they're working on it. The security on MP games is still very poor.

The PTW manual clearly says (page 6) that everybody can convert a multiplayer game on a single one by using the "Load game" button or by loading a game from whitin a game....

                  [OOC]

So, what is to keep some nefarious person on one of the other teams from using this to have a look at all of their neighbors? Even though, it's frowed on by the other members of their tribe (like playing ahead in the SPDG),that still doesn't mean that they won't do it.

THis is something that is potentially very serious, not for us, but for everybody. There is the potenial for someone to cry foul against some other team, thinking that they have cheated in this fashion. This must be addressed.

If a Patch that comes out that fixes this problem, but is not available in all platforms (i.e. CivIII 1.29f patch), we should insist that this patch be used, despite leaving some people out in the cold. Without it, Our Security (and others), even the whole basis of this game format could very well be in jepearty.

I see that it is indeed an excellent spot for a city. I should highly recommend it. It is in a vast, fertile valley, surrounded by many natural defenses, and the area around it could easily be cultivated for irrigation and farming.
                    Empire growing,
                    Pleasures flowing,
Fortune smiles and so should you.
