Sirs, here is an early analysis of Neu Demogyptica, though I'm still learning new things.

Neu Demogyptia is the Spanish name for the people of Arabia, who come from the city of No Name, and are ruled over by a mysterious Caliph named Borc.

The Neu Demogypticans are very quiet, and keep to themselves. It will be hard to find out how they intend to overcome us, or anyone. It was only recently that they began to look for diplomats and allowed others in. They are not paranoid, but they won't be quick to give us their information either.

However, almost as a stark contrast to this, in recent days they have opened themselves up. They greeted me warmly, and stated that they looked forward to friendship between our people. Indeed, the Caliph himself said that he hoped we would encounter one another soon so that we may trade, make each other rich, and help each other out of the Dark Ages (his words).

They seem to be strangely contrasted, then. They remain closed about many things, though open to this small amount of diplomatic work. They may soon give up this and warm themselves up yet further to be true friends. This is what I hope to see, and expect to see. I really do think that they may be considered trustworthy, and valuable as possible allies. They are heathens, yes, but possible allies all the same.

They seem to be poor as well, and make claims that they are struggling through a wild desert. This may be mere propaganda, or a hint at their true location.

Borc, their Caliph, is hidden away, but when he can be approached, he is quite civil indeed, and I think he does really want to see an Arabian-Spanish Alliance. I think he can be trusted.

Probably so. Except that as a falsehood it is so obviously a falsehood that it may well indeed be the truth. Could be our same tactic, but I do not know this for certain.
