DAWN OF CIVILIZATION SPECIAL
SPAIN HAS BECOME A CIVILIZATION - PEOPLE REJOICE
Though many people had foreseen this, it is now official: Spain has become a civilization. Under the inspiring leadership of Togas, the people of Spain now advance into a new era where opportunities are limitless and life is better. Some people from the surrounding barbaric tribes have been inspired by Spain's magnificence and have joined the new civilization. People celebrated for days on the streets of Madrid. However, experts note that, though we have little to fear from surrounding tribes, we have all to fear from the "unknown enemy." Even though this message is very disturbing, people are still generally cheerful and thank Togas for his greatness.
TOGAS HAS SPOKEN
Now that we have become a civilization, Togas has posted his official edicts. Those edicts show that Togas is a decisive and determined man. For example, he wants to let some of our warriors explore the regions surrounding Madrid - a very bold and tactical decision. He also greatly promotes public works such as irrigation and roads.
CIVILIZATION INSPIRES: SAGES INVESTIGATE "BRONZE"
Our sages are currently investigating the matter of "bronze." 'If we can master working with bronze,' so say the sages, 'we can get a tremendous military advantage.' Senor Thud Quixote I, master inventor, agrees: 'we will have great swords, swords which cut better. We will be good.' Keep tracking the Stone of Spain for the most recent developments on this exciting research.
NEW LOCATION FOR MADRID
Our great capital, Madrid, has been relocated many times in our barbaric era, but now the people of Spain have found a most suitable location for our capital. Everyone tends to agree: this new location will be Madrid's home for ages to come. Senor Astronicus, artist, has made a very lovely painting of Madrid in her new surroundings. Here follows the address where his painting can be found:
12, Calle Estogar II
Regular news will be posted in the next volume.
