However, I noticed one more problem we are having - the difficulty level of the savegame I received is REGENT. Eli, would you check the savegame you got from dejon, what level it is?

It seems to me that Luxes loaded the game in a way that let a bug screw both the AP and difficulty level settings.

I invite you all to read this thread on the main forum :

As a result, we are playing at REGENT level.

I think we can live with it.

not only that, but we also have accelerated production on. what is up?

regent is not that much of a big deal. Happyness is not as big of an issue, so it reduced the usefullness of being a religious civ a bit. who does this benifit?

d#$% it! I have been playing a PBEM game separately for nearly 3 weeks now and never had a problem with it.

Having to start over is the only thing that concerns me. We are in a terrific starting position and giving it up because some people can't tell their head from the a** is gonna be tough.

We'll only have to completely start over if NYE's initial game creation was the cause of the problems. At this point, most seem to think it was the treatment of the save file somewhere along the way.

AP came on after Vox, from either Lux or Lego. I have checked our save (from the Warmongers), and it was already at Regent, so that issue started earlier (one of first three teams).

Since Vox also forgot to set their password, they have replayed their first turn and sent it along to Lux.

Everyone is assuming that the Regent setting is not a game-stopper.

Maybe playing at regent is not a great problem, even if it goes against our religious adavantega, but the Accelerated Production thing is terrible...

I can see the game beeing restarted...

                Update

Borc from Neu Demogyptica reported that the game they got was also already Regent. As they were second, that means that something happened during the Gathering Storm's turn, with notyoueither.

oliverfa: To get rid of AP we don't have to restart, just back up to the Vox's turn and move on, which has already started.

I think we must fix the AP issue (Lux or Lego replaying their turn), but we can play at REGENT level if there isn't another way to keep our starting position.

Regent level, I can live with that. Accelerated production smells, but if we must put up with it, fine. However, I don't like having to restart it and loosing our great starting location. Is there a way of fixing this without loosing the location?

Obviously I'm not making myself clear. This is everything I know (or have been led to believe):

                      What happened:
                      1) Either the game setup or Gathering Storm's turn (both handled by notyoueither) resulted in Regent level.

                      2) Vox Controli did not enter a password on their turn.

                      3) Either Lux Invicta's or Legoland's handling of the save resulted in accelerated production being turned on.

                      Okay:
                      A) There is no motion to restart the entire game, which is the only thing that could change the start positions. Everyone seems to be fine with 1).

                      B) The proposed resolution to 2) and 3) was to have turns replayed, starting with Vox Controli. This process has already begun. Vox set their password, replayed their turn, and sent the save onto Lux. That is where it is now, to my knowledge. Lego knows the plan and is awaiting the save.
