I sure we can come up with many good gods; however, I propose that when Monotheism comes along our one true god be the Great Taco."The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country." -- Abraham Lincoln
"Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever, in flesh and blood, walked upon this earth." -- Albert Einstein, in regards to Mohandis Gandhi

The Great Taco made me think. The eternal place above the sky (sometimes referred to as heaven) must be the Kitchen. Think of it: does not the food give us life and punish us if we do something bad with the spread of diseases? The Chef is the greatest god of all, the maker of all dishes (i.e. lifeforms).

Plotting:
-----------
Our Religion should be part of our plotting scheme,
based upon the International Disinformation Project. (IDF)
Please read this thread for info: http://www.apolyton.net/forums/show...&threadid=68009
I suggest we hand out these three (unofficial) ubertitles to use in publicity. They represent divine powers, and they can be passed from person to person.
1. Rolemaster of the Realm. (RoR)
2. Grand-masker of Destiny Theatre. (GoDT)
3. Archbishop of the True Role (AoTR)
This is a way of giving the impression that we are NOT plotting against the others, but merely roleplaying and having fun.
(as we of course are having too)
Who wants a title???
(it's unofficial, so you can use your own imagination)
(edit)
Uh, can I pick no.2 since it was my idea?
My words are backed with hard coconuts.

I think this is time for me to repeat something that we had discussed as a team on the public boards:
We are role-playing the history of our civilization, not role-playing as role-players... this is not a meta-roleplay, it's a straight-up role-play of history...
As such, "Rolemaster" and other such references to meta-roleplay would be inappropriate... rather, he is the supreme leader of almighty Spain (at this stage of history, his Iberian Greatness, the Supreme Leader of Almighty Iberia)... or something along those lines.
Put most simply: We are Spaniards, not Thespians.Long-time poster on Apolyton and WePlayCiv

Ok, but when we are so close to RL it gets more serious than fun.
Not as much fun roleplay as with a bit of free imagination.
It gets funnier that way. (I'm a Discworld fan, etc. )
But ok, we will roleplay the Spaniards I suppose.
Hmm... how do we make fun roleplay then?
(edit)
Ok, inquisition... that's fun!My words are backed with hard coconuts.

what do you mean? don't the spanish worship the Great Taco to this very day?
as us clairvoyant, half-witted cactus-farmers go, the Great Taco is god. All Catholicism has is a little extra sour cream on it...

But that brings up its own opportunities for fun...
Which of us are Castilians? Aragonians? Catalonians? Galicians (though they're actually Celtish by descent)? Basques (also Celtish)?
I think that all of us are likely either Castilian, Aragonian, or Catalonian (though someone can be Galician if they want). We always have a pretext to go to war with the Celts (Glory of War) if we want, claiming that they're behind those pesky Basque uprisings and whatnot...

(Gastronome Neecap runs ahead to push some peasant bystanders aside)
It is I, Hernan de History Guy Calamari, Squid Salesman Extraordinair.
What I think we shoulda do to keep in with the roleplay is to adopt the real religion of Spain once we get Monotheism, that is if we want to keep to historic roleplaying.Empire growing,
Pleasures flowing,
Fortune smiles and so should you.

Talking about religion...
In case we need to go to a war we can call it the "Reconquista" (any team or any AI playing muslims?) and do it by the Glory of God.
