do we whish to have a theme for our civ...

historical, just stick to the whole bloody thing (civ dependant of course)...

anime, most of us have seen at least some....

D&D, again, most of us have played.....

anything else we can think of.....

If we do, it should be consistant for all of time, which is why I am not sure if the historical is all that good, but a combination of some that included historical can work ok I think. Anime and historical combo... could rock.

This would account for us naming units, cities (captured only), and what not in the game as well as in our RP stuff.

I thought the theme was intended to be historical. That would most likely work best in context. I have no objection to having some other sort of theme, of course.

How would we use D&D as a theme? I've never played, actually, so it might just be my ignorance at work. Though I do play the SW RPG, so I can't be all bad

Just do thing such as name a unit Gandolf, Dragon Slayer, things such as that.... cities can be named Ravens Bluff, Ogre Den, Grayhawk and so forth.

      Other ideas I had:

Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy theam

Fllintstones / simpsons / cartoons in general

Pop culture, such as TV Shows and so forth

I think just historical will make it kinda dull, which is why I suggested this, so that if it goes beyond historical, we can all be on the same page.

playing our units and cities as a theme might serve to reinforce the notion that we are preoccupied with our roleplay stuff. maybe, help us to not be perceived as a threat... help to spread our culture of insanity so that other teams like us taking over their cities just to see the crazy names we choose

....this could backfire, though, if they see us as a joke

Themewise we will stick to whatever era in history and development that we are in. We get to "act out" history and watch it unfold on many different levels throughout our civilization.

I don't see us doing a fantasy theme or a more unusual theme, I see us being more documentary (with comedy thrown in for good measure).

I agree with doing it as historical.

I wish I could throw Lightnig Bolts up their asses...

So a theme could be Bolt of Lightning? - BoL
Or perhaps Great Balls of Fiendish Fire ? - GreBoFF

Historical is fine by me. I don't too much about D & D and Anime. Though, if you wanna go with a Simpsons theme, I can rattle off most of their charatcers.

                    Themes:

-I don't have a single **** clue about how this coudl work, but as it is the only reason I own a TV, "Ed, Edd, n Eddy"
                    -historical
-No D&D or Anime please no
-be ourselves and skip the copying of the ideas

If we pick Spain, not discovering another continent will pfft our history roleplaying.

I now know how we can work Ed, Edd, n Eddy!

Name the capital Peach Creek, the wealthiest/best city the Candy Store, and the worst city Park n' Flush Trailer park.
