  • The March on Monterrey

*Begins marching down the Via de Espana in Monterrey, followed by about 2000 supporters, all carrying weapons (mostly spears and swords, with a few primitive guns)*

We, IFELINADE Tifanu Anede GUDANU [who SPEAK for Our Lord GOD], have come here to bring judgment upon the puppets of Egypt!! We call on the so-called "Pope", King Togas, and all their minions to make a choice: either perish as agents of slavery, or live as the chosen people of Our Lord GOD!

So will you choose evil or good? Death or life? Destruction or renewed glory?

Fegusin ugohanelo ogorebunusin Tifana Anede GUDANA [May Our Lord GOD forgive and reward you and us]

It was the war that made him like this, wasn't it?

A bearded man wearing rags wanders into the city center of El Paso. When a man questioned him for his name, he simply uttered "Mitchell!" and dropped dead at the spot.

Prime Minister Clemente points out in his address to the nation that our Egyptian allies were long ago converted to Catholicism by our good missionaries. They remain servants of the good lord and thus remain worthy of our alliance.

Vox Controli also converted themselves to Catholicism and may thus be redeemed. They are worthy of our friendship.

The godless and wretched peoples of the Glory of War, Neu Demogyptica, and Legoland, on the other hand, must be fought until their peoples are allowed to see the light and join the one true faith.

This is our goal, as it always has been. We must have faith that the good lord will yet see it carried out. Remember, the lord works in mysterious ways. One of our previous opponents, the Gathering Storm, is now a force which believes and fights in the name of the lord. Perhaps more of the lord's plan will be revealed to us in time.

Along the roadside, everybody shouts: "Ifelina is a quack!" and "Go back to Bob, you kneecap!" and other such insulting comments. People are generally rather peevish at the thought of a small rebellion in the middle of their nice old town, especially when the swaggering yokels who are behind it keep knocking over their vegetable carts and stepping on their squid. Stones are thrown, calls for order are made.

The Pope himself stands forward. Everybody gasps! They thought he had been away in Stormia... And so he had. But now he has returned to meet the rebels himself. His cousin, Lorenzo de Calamari, stands at his side, his hand nervously clutching a pistol.

"Now, erm, look here, mate," says Lorenzo.

"Return to your villages!" cried the Pope. "In God's name, I pray you, disperse and shed no blood. You try to find a quarrel in nothing, my friends."

"Ummm..." says one of the rebels, picking his ear.

"You heard the Pope! And the Prime Minister!" shouts Calamari, boldly striding forward. "Don't make me pull a Swiss guard on you."
              Empire growing,
              Pleasures flowing,
Fortune smiles and so should you.
