  • 370ad -- Turn Report

    Here's the opening shot:

Other than what is shown, ND has 2 stacks of defensive units: 3 pikes to the west, 3 muskets to the south.

    In Pamplona we have:
    8 catapults
    2 knights (1 elite)
    1 horseman
    1 mid inf
    14 pikes

GS gave us their WM. I gifted them our WM.

WF in Pamplona adjusted so that we get max food and 10spt. Had to move workers back to the cow tiles.

Set build in Pamplona to MARKETPLACE. We are losing 5gpt and at 100% tax we lose 3gpt. We are going to have to suck it up for 10 turns and switch to a marketplace if we expect to be able to maintain our current forces long term.

WF in Harry's Hideout adjusted to max sheilds (3spt)

Workers at 8-8 moved to New Madrid 8. Will build mines next turn.

We'll get that gold back without a MP. We need GS to gift back those cities of ours ASAP.

I agree with BigFree. On the point of our cities.

      Second:
We are switching to non-military production? Though I said that this battle might have been ND's last if they would go for full attack, we are still in war with them and I think that, especially when we get the cities back, we could use some extra defense. Now that the GA's are over, the time has come to prepare for the attack. I suggest that we build military units, pikes or knights.

I don't care how many enemies we have, and that it might be foolish to attack, we have keep ourselves up and let them understand that they are unable to break us, even with Lego's support and two GA's.

As far as I understood, Aidun, we´re switching to Marketplace in order to be able to maintain these troops, else they´ll start deserting for lack of payment...

Like I said a few posts up, we don't need a Market Place if we get those other cities back from GS. Toledo, NM and Barcelona.

We're going to lose Toledo, NM, and Barcelona in the next 10 turns.

GS indicates that ND is coming from the north and that they're evacuating to return the cities to us.

Whatever happens, we are ultimately going to have to support our entire army with Pamplona for the final showdown, and at some point we'll need the Marketplace to do that. Unless, of course, we think that GS will be willing to gift us gold ... but I am reluctant to ask them for it.

We need to face the future, whether Spain can stand on it's own legs or not, we have to, we cannot ask GS to support us more now that the threat is so great, let them destroy us, like the Ottomans destroyed the Byzantine empire and triumph in our capital.

Perhaps the City of Justice will be Spanish again and together we rule a peaceful world without betrayal, threachery and so forth. I'm sick of irritating myself about all the treachery that has been done. Spain faced many Pearl Harbors, too many.

Just retreat form Bob not faster than needed, While they spill their troops on Pamplona, we can prepare a new start in North Estonia, perhaps to come back once.

It may not be fun, but the current situation is with even less fun, now we might get a chance to see GoW be invaded, or Lego gat it's butt kicked. I would find it interesting to see how the Great War between the former members of the Axis of Evil develops.
