Togas,
Here is a link to a zip file of this turn's screenshots.
We are concerned for the safety of the Barcelona and are moving the six latest knights towards our fortifications west of that city. Unfortunately your workers are on the road and we must regrettably ask if they could withdraw from the road this turn to enable our knights to reach the intended defensive position. Maybe we are lucky and they finish their work next turn anway. If not, I'm sure you agree that our defensive security is a priority.
Better news - with our strength of forces around Pamplona, it is unlikely that the enemy will risk attacking it yet, as they will be unlikely to hold it and risk losing a major force.
Regards,
CH
GS

Thanks. Any chance we can schedule a chat with them? I've been a bit busy with other demo games recently, so my apologies for not being as involved in this one of late.Long-time poster on Apolyton and WePlayCiv

please note the most recent PM from GS that I've posted in the diplomacy thread.
They indicate that they are very close to working out a deal with GOW and want to chat with us about it today, if possible.
If you are online and idle, please keep watch for Cort Haus and start up a chat with him if you can. I may not be able to make it, because I don't get off work until late, but my hope is that one of you will be able to be there.

I have the save and would like to play it as soon as I get some feedback on GS's most recent PM. Please let me know.

Results from 340ad
NOTE:
I started the save using the normal method and clicked on New Madrid, causing my game to crash.
I restarted the save using the "Multiplayers, PBEM, No turn timer, Load game" method described by BigFree
Upon opening the save the 2nd time, New Madrid was in disorder! When I attempted to click on the city to see why, the game crashed on me.
I loaded the save again, for the 3rd time, using the regular "Load Saved Game" method and New Madrid was fine.
New Madrid builds Pike. Starts on Pike
Pamplona builds Pike. Starts on Pike
Barcelona builds Pike. starts on Pike
Toledo builds Pike. Starts on Pike
Fortify all new Pikes.
Pinta moves E, W (no new units seen)
I then attempted to click on F1 to see if there might be any lingering happiness issues with New Madrid, and the game crashed.
I'm really really sick of this problem.
The save has not been played. I'm going to wait for someone (BigFree?) who can actually play it without it crashing on them.

BigFree (or anyone else who can play this damned thing), PLEASE play the save. Just have our new units fort in the cities and find a new work project for our 3 idle workers.
Please?

Ok, I got it to load finally, without crashing, it crashed twice on me with 'Barbarin Chiefdoms" in NM instead of Spanish citizens. There are howver "Chinese citizens" there now I have no idea why. For two reasons I gifted our WM, Toledo, NM, and Barcelona to GS. One, maybe this will clear upo the bug if the cities are passed again...who knows really. Two, GS ask us to do this on our turn and since we have done it before I see no reason now. If the team decides to not go with the GS plan, then we ask for them back and go from there. If we do decide to go with the GS plan, then we are one turn closer to acomplishing it.
