  • Should we attack Salmanca/Alamo this turn?

Togas and I were dicussing getting back Salmanca this turn. GS reported that GoW may have injured troops inside. If we attack with 3 MI's we should be able to determine what strength level their troops are at. If we find, after attacking with the 3 MI's, that they are indeed weakened, then we send in the Knights. If not, we hold back the Knights till a later date.

Abstain. I honestly don't know enough about the military situation.

      Attack.
They are spread thin and weakened, a fact only proven true with their ask of a cease-fire.

I agree with Marshal Winterius. If only I could find a time when the [chatroom] military headquarters is in use!

As it is, our citizens have been suffering under the yoke of those vile heathen dogs for too long. We know that they must be pressed pretty thin; we know that they have been hit badly and that if we press them they will run. We must bring the war to the enemy.

        Onward, my brave boys!

        Press on! Press on!

I would normally vote in favor of attacking, but I don't know if we can get enough defensive troops in the city after having attacked and freed it. We have to KEEP this city rather than to scare them off with a Phyrrus victory to lose the city the next turn to ND, something I warned you for before.

If we first free the city and then loose it again, we loose more troops than the Axis of Evil ([ooc] Bush's terms aren't that bad at all[/ooc]), we are not doing a good job for the Christian Alliance.

I will therefore ABSTAIN. Be sure I'll become a nasty soldier to you, the Lords and Leaders if you fail to keep that city after attacking.

Wishing the leaders and Lords and all the Spanish soldiers fortune in this battle. May the almighty God forgive us our sins after this crusade, Amen. ATTACK!!!

My Lord Toledo, you could of course join the discussion in the Commanders' tent and bring up the issue, we are eager to discuss with a famous Lord like you.

I have reminded GS again about the MilOps room. The problem is that NYE is currently on a leave of absence and most of the rest of their team is rarely on the chat server. Please, everyone, remember to mention MilOps to GS members if you see them in ISDG chat or elsewhere.

I've also added MilOps to my perform for IRC, so I'll be in there whenever I'm online.
