What's the long-term plan for capturing cities? Can we do it?

    Comment

    • #3
Well, teh longest term plan we have is a raid on mainland GoW by us ourselves, and a mountain blockade by GS. Also a slow but effective advance of GS troops toward the south.
We cannot think about recapturing cities before a much needed build up, and before severely crippling the enemy´s production capacites and army.

Just one little correction: It's 260 AD and not 270 AD.

New Madrid and Pamplona complete pikeman this turn.
          Pamplona cultural borders expanded.

          Some photos of the situation:

I don't have much suggestions for that turn.

Hmm, GoW seems to have a lot of scattered Riders around... perhaps we should try to strike them while they are spread thin?

              Wow ... that's a lot of screenshots!

I need to hear from the team. Should we send more units out to the mountains? I'm thinking we should send another pike and 3 Inf. Or would that leave Pamplona too weak?

              Your thoughts?

That looks like a good idea. I say that we send also the catapults to start attacking the city.

Can't send cats yet. They need roads to move on mountains. If our little mountain brigade is sucessful, we'll move the 2 workers to the East of Pamplona to the mountain once the road is complete, and start on a road there.

We need to get workers to that Mountain North of Salmanca ASAP. Gow are chicken **** bustards. If we can get some Cats up there, it will force their hand. GS is moving in on them down south; there will be a blood bath shortly.

Will our troops still be on that mountain by the time we have completed that road, and why are we moving troops on that mountain? Just to occupy the mountain? Look at all those ND forces that are nearby, this is not a good strategy.

With all those ND forces nearby our troops will soon be slauthered and our current number of troops is far too small to occupy the city.

IF we decide to attack, please attack with maximum power so that we can be sure not only to free the city, but also to KEEP it.

Just now ND is waiting for us to invade the city, to then defeat our troops and occupy it for temselves.

Let us wait until we can see that GS really arrives or informs us of their position. Alone we can't do anything useful against those two.

Aidun, it's smart to gert troops on top of the mointain so that we can fortify them, then move workers so they can road, then move Cats there so they can do some damage.
