nye> ok. well, there may be some good news for you next turn
    Togas> good news?
nye> we land in the south
    Togas>
    nye> backed by knights
    Togas>
nye> persoannly, i expect the cit to be razed in our face
Togas> that is going to seriously derail their Pamplona seige plans
nye> well, this turn is valencia
Togas> most important, IMO, is that ND and GoW don't get the use of our luxuries
nye> we hope to distract them
    Togas> it definately will
nye> we will advance on salamanca in due course
Togas> that will be a welcome sight
nye> it will be about damned time.
Togas> is there any real thread of GoW or ND attacking Toledo in the next 10+ turns?
nye> we want to send it back to you. nd is lurking though
Togas> we cannot effectively guard both just yet, but eventually we should be able to
nye> we just pillaged the rads that could have riders or ansars in your lap without wartning
Togas> hopefully we can hold a line
nye> if all goes well, toledo can go to you soon
    Togas> good news
nye> question. at 5 pop, no lux, can you keep it in order?
Togas> once we have roads, we'll have 1 luc
    Togas> lux
Togas> and any luxes given by GS
Togas> so at this point we're at 3 luxes
nye> yes, but i was wondering about returning it now
    nye> before roads
Togas> We could take it, I think, with 1 ent
Togas> and then move in 2 mil police
nye> how did the nm transfer go? did you have a chance to set specialists before it revilted?
    Togas> it was flawless
Togas> we got it, it received the 3 lux, and never revolted. With 1 more pop it will revolt
Togas> but we'll have mil police in soon
    nye> oh
Togas> right now it has 3 happy, 1 content, 3 unhappy
nye> well, toledo is better for you after a turn of disorder then with us with no disorder, i think
Togas> production and commercewise, I agree
nye> will just depend on what nd is doing
Togas> I'd just hate for us to have you guys pull out, and then have ND/GoW see it as a good target
nye> they have units floating around on the edge
    Togas> how many units?
nye> our units would not leave
    Togas>
nye> they would stay to assure the cities safety, as much as 4 pike and 3 mi can
nye> so far nd is showing 1 mi and 1 pike
    Togas> just scouts, then.
nye> but, with ansars, i am not discounting something just out of sight
Togas> at least the jungle takes 3 moves.
nye> that is why we pillaged that nub of a road to bilbao this turn
Togas> that mountain 8-9 from Toledo is a key watch position
Togas> it's also the avenue of attack from the north
    nye> we are occupying it
    Togas> good
    nye> your galley sees nothing?
    Togas> so far nothing
Togas> it's fortified, so it sees 3 tiles
Togas> well, not in all spots
Togas> but in a few spots. We're watching the likely avenue of GoW reinforcements
nye> k. we moved a galley for like purposes

Whoever gets a chance (Arnelos?) to sit down and do some joint planning with GS, here are some of my thoughts:

              1) Should we make settlers or them to replace the lost cities?

              2) I would humbly ask that if they have extra workers, that they would gift them to us or transport them here. We have a lot of worker tasks to be done. Gifting them would be easier but their workers are industrious, so if they have the extra boats to bring them, we could start listing requested worker tasks for them to complete.

              3) Request that they always keep units near Toledo. Should GoW arrive again, they will arrive from the north and in greater numbers than last time. We need to see them coming and prepare for what will surely be a VERY large stack.

              4) We need to build new roads to Pamplona so we don't have traffic jams, however, until the roads are done, we need to decide if GS should move their units every other turn (Madrid 2 turn pikes) or if we should just rough it through the mountains.

              5) Technology: What are they researching? What can we do for them in this area?

              6) Luxuries: I'd really like to see us rebuild Valencia and get spices to both of our nations to combat war weariness (mostly for them).

              7) What can our galleys do to help them?

              8) Is there anything militarily we can do to help them?

                1) I was thinking that GS should gift us Sirocco and then have them build a new base of operations at 9-9- of New Madrid. We need to build one more road on the tile 9-9 of New Madrid. Sirocco would be used as our settler pump to rebuild our cities that have been lost/destroyed.

                2) It's better for them to ship workers over and let them complete tasks for us, since they are industrious workers.

                3) Yes, We need addition protecion at Toledo for quite a while.

                4) I think we should road the gold mountain at least then GS could station their troops there, leaving the pass clear for movement each turn.

                5) We can start on a 40 turn tech once they let us know what they need and what direction they are headed in.

                6) Yes, Valencia will be very nice to get back. But, isn't that the area that GS wants to settle in? We need to get a clear map from them about the areas they intend to settle in in the future.

                7) Our Galleys can't do much for now; except maybe act as a diversion. By now, we may be able to fool GoW that we loaded troops onto them. We can sail them up north and make GoW keep more troops at home than they would normally.

                8) I was thining we could move some Pikes and Workers on the Mountain next to Salmanca and build a road there so we could move in some Cats to bombard the hell out of them. We'd need to build about 6 more Pikes to make it a semisafe venture; Pikes have a defense of 6 on a Mountain, and 7.5 when fortified! If GoW and ND want to kill Pikes on Mountains, the numbers are in our favor. Not only do Pikes cost way less than either Rider's or Ansar's, they have a better chance at winning against their attacks on that type of terrain.
