  • LOTR:TTT Theme for the Defense of Spain...

Ok, our defense of Spain seems to be a hopeless struggle to defend the lives of our people... our warriors will die bravely and galantly on the field of battle, every man (young or old) shall be called to service to defend the waning days of the Spanish Kingdom...

The armies of evil that march against us are driven only by hatred and a lust for our land. Though they VASTLY outnumber and outclass our forces, our forces have the greater bravery and valour and fight to defend their homes rather than destroy the homes of others.

So yeah... I just got home from watching the Two Towers again (it's still in the cheap theatres!).

Anyhow... our situation to that at the Battle of Helm's Deep is quite similar. Doom seems certain, yet we can fight out the last of our days in a valiant struggle to defend our homes and our families, even if it means we will all end up in our graves.

However, there is always a glimmer of hope, one which the enemy may not forsee. Though we believe ourselves alone, abandoned, and doomed, there are perhaps friends and allies that we may call upon to help us give a future to our people in peace.

In LOTR, though Rohan long ago and again in the books declares fealty to Gondor as a part of their alliance, it is an alliance none the less. And allies fight together to defeat the foul beasts that are our common enemy.

Indeed, the beasts that are the "Glory of War" seem almost a perfect match for the foul orcs of the LOTR world. Our twin enemies of ND and GoW with their infadel hordes are akin to the orcish hordes with threatened those valiant defenders in myth.

And as with those valiant defenders, we shall shed much blood in the defense of our homes and people, but the bravery and valour of that sacrifices will not be cheapened by the existence of friends who may yet help to defend us.

That some of our lands will move with time is perhaps inevitable is but a small price to pay for the ultimate victory against the hordes of darkness that not only threaten ourselves, but the whole of the world. We must stand against this darkness and welcome the coming of any friends who would help us to defeat it.

In the long run, it is no shame to join in partnership with others who also wish to defeat this evil from GoW and ND - forever. For none will be safe in this world until that evil IS defeated and our friends and we seem to share this commitment.

So let us fight and die to defend our lands, but also let us not turn away the hand of aid. The survival of our women and children should matter as much if not more to us than our pride.

    OPTION #1:

    OPTION #2:

Personally, I like Option #3. Looks the most "I'm a pissed off king"-like.

(this all assuming we get our avatars back... )

        I like option #1
It looks more 'leader like' to me.

But where was Gondor when the Westfold fell?
              Empire growing,
              Pleasures flowing,
Fortune smiles and so should you.

Thought that I'd point out that avatars won't be coming back any time soon.

Yeah, well, you had to say that.

Let's amuse ourselves by tarring and feathering the guy who busted up our party!

Since my talk with NYE earlier this evening about perhaps doing a joint RP/GS avatar theme which RP could establish now and GS could join when they invade to help...

Who wants to be Eomer? dejon? BigFree?

                      Eomer A:

                      Eomer B:

I can almost certainly find more pictures of the Rohirrim if need be, but from the images I was accessing, this is the only clear shot of another face (unless someone wants to be Eowyn......):

                      Someone can be Gimli:

As for me... I was trying to figure out who I would be as the one writing the alliance agreement and I just couldn't think of anyone who fulfills that role in the movie... until I considered that that's essentially what Gandalf does, other than be kickass. So while I think I certainly don't deserve Gandalf's avatar for its kickass value, it's the one character that makes sense for the alliance formation... so here are some Gandalf options...

                      GANDALF A:

                      GANDALF B:

                      GANDALF C:

As for Gathering Storm, NYE and I were discussing they can either be the Elves or Gondor... or both.

So here might be an Aragorn avatar for NYE or another on GS who wishes it...

                      Faramir:

                      Legolas:

                      Haldir:

                      Some elves...

                      ELF #1:

                      ELF #2:

                      ELF #3:

                      ELF #4:

We can find more Rohirrim avatars for RP Team people. As for additional GS avatars, we might be able to swing some Gondor avatars (like the guys in Faramir's company) if we can find suitable pics.

Ideally, RP Team could immediately establish some Rohirrim avatars and GS would add their Elves and Gondor avatars when their forces start showing up on the battlefield.

The implication behind it all is that ND and GoW are a massive army of orcs whose only purpose "is to destroy the world of men". GoW and the orcs DO have certain... similarities... afterall.

Eomer would be neat - the first one. Of course, we don't know how long avatars will be turned off.

Now that the avatars are up again, I wish to be Faramir or one of the random elves.

The new Duke Aidun Cian, who speeded from the monasterial schools in Pamplona to the battlefield is still quite young, though not too young to hand a sword. The Dukedom of Zaragoza might have fallen and the the graves of his ancestors might have desecrated, but Aidun has escaped and will, at any cost, revenge the lives of the brave men that fought for his father and himself, the lives of many innocent citizens that he could not defend. Aidun saw men being crusified, women, girls and boys being raped and slaughtered.

Aidun has sworn an oath on God: that he will never stop fighting the Moors until he himself dies.

                          Young Duke Aidun Cian.

I am getting the nameles Rohirin!!!!
For the Grace of the Lord!!!
I am going to post a text in the forum about the testimonies of our soldiers in Pamplona, who care no longer for their lifes; and maybe I´ll even paste the lyrics of a melodic metal song that is very cool, about warriors and kings. Hopefully It´ll be great.
I also need to know if we make an offensive against any enemy with sucess, I have in mind a great Romance of th Three kingdoms-like offensive, burning enemies to death and all.
