  • 110 BC (22): Orders, Results, Discussion

)Thought I'd go ahead a make this thread. The turns seem to be coming around faster lately.

    Pamplona:

Builds Granary!!! Set queue to build a Barracks next (this is still up for debate, however).

Please set the WFs as requested below:
    Code:
        #2, shielded grassland
        #6, forest
        #7, cattle bonus
        #8, cattle bonus
        [b]#19, shielded grassland - new[/b]
We are gonna have to forego having Gold Mountain for a little while. I'm trying to grow the city and we also need the 10 shields/turn we'll be getting if we hope to get the Barracks out in 4 turns (should that remain our priority); #19 is better all around except for commerce . Hopefully, Gold Mountain will soon be mined though (hint, hint )

    Thanks.

If you check your Spain web pages, I've updated the "future Spain" image at the end to show a few minor changes, one in particular is the addition of a new city to the South-West.

I am currently debating setting a settler down on the horse in the SW right now, instead of waiting until much later to build this city site. Should war come and should Zaragoza fall, we would be without horses. I know it's not a likely possibility nor something we'd like to dwell upon, but such precautions need to be made.

I am finally back for a while. I can get here now just about every day in july. Damn the university for closing their computer rooms during the summer.
But now I'm home sitting at my parents ancient ISDN connection which is accessible 24/7, sweet

I'll check in again soon enough to see when Vigo has finsihed its settler for any further builds, but I'd like the two grasslands to be irrigated not mined. I need to grow that little rock as fast as possible in order to get anything at all out of it...

The strength of the original Cadiz location was in originally having the Game for growth, and later having the fish. However, changing to two cities is good long term and for defense. Who's going to produce another settler?

The city north of Pamplona is of course very wise for defense - where does it fit in the Settlement priority?

I have been more worried about settling the wheat and Lisboa cities than the far south tip one, so I won't be upset if we build Cordoba first. Another advantage (aside from backup horses) is that we'd be able to use the workers near Valencia to connect these cities and improve a couple of tiles that they can share, because there won't be as much rush to road to the southern tip.

A worker was named after me and I wasn't even around for several months when that apparently happened.

There shall be no changes in Toledo. In two turns we shall have our new settler. The festival is continuing very well. The bullfights are magnifcent. The tomato throwing contests are brilliant. The women are pretty nice looking, and my armor looks really, really good in the sun.

As it is, the Calamarquists are waiting for a second chance to be formed into battalions, and my son is waiting for his company to be formed. So, we shall return to Medieval Infantry when our settler is done.

Ghost? Last time I was in Madrid, I stayed the night in the palace in the Togian Hall. Strangely, during the middle of the night, my wife and I looked up to see a figure standing in the middle of our doorway. It was too dim to make him out, but he was holding something under his hand... Then, in a flash, he was gone!

We inquired about the room, and learned that it had been the dead Godkings!!!

                          Empire growing,
                          Pleasures flowing,
Fortune smiles and so should you.

After a long talk with MasterZen of GoW, trying to get them to sell us Chivalry, and after learning that 5 other civs have Chivalry .... and that GoW continues to give us excuses about why they cannot sell it to us now. (they won't even offer a price), we made an executive decisions during the chat (NucWinter, BigFree, WhiteBandit, Arnelos, and myself) to go into emergency defense mode. Many city queues have been changed and some of the military and worker orders have been changed. Please review the results VERY closely!
