btw I was wondering if my tasks could be somewhat expanded...

Sevilla would be well off with an experienced governor, and as we are to build a new city on a hill southwest of Vigo I could, with an extended governorial position, develop the southwestern region of Spain as a whole, coordinating, trade, food production and resources. Dont you agree Lord Togas?

After all Vigo has such limited growth potentiale and I have shown myself to be your loyal and competent administrator always, yes?
I believe I am worthy of a small promotion.

(ooc I havent been all too present lately, but then again, it seemed nothing was ever happening, and nothing ever does happen in the petite village of Vigo)

          LzPrst,

It's good to have you back The changes to Vigo were done as a part of the Great Western Settlement Edict. Since Vigo would be contributing a Settler, and has lousey growth, a granary is to be built there before the Settler.

Your proposal to have regional governors makes sense, however, our present form of government involves individual landowners controling their posessions. I doubt the landowners would like to give up control of their posessions

I believe it is time for power to be more centralized. I can split the positions among my sons and I can act as Overseer of the Vigo Region. If it is in the best interest of the king that is.

                Discuss that in the Academy.

                  Jungle Patrol
                  -move E (into Bilbao)

                  Bilbao Guard (in Bilbao)
                  -move SW

                  Pamplona Garrison (in Pamplona)
                  -to accompany settler

                  Guardia Observatoria
                  -move SE (attack barb hut)

                  Valencia Bounty Hunter
                  -move NW
Heading to coastal city spot SW of Vigo (coastal hill). We need to protect that spot from Lego and ND. With Fish and Gems there - it may be too tempting for them.

                  Madrid Expedition
                  -move S, S, SE
Going to Barcelona to switch off with Barcelona Sword.

                  Santa Maria
-move SW, S, S (or otherwise navigate around coast & GS galleys as best we can)

                  Nina
                  -move S, W, W

                    Results

Mil is weak to GS, Ave to ND, strong to all others.

New ND city of Zayrut right next to GoW.

                    military:
                    Valencia Bounty NW
                    Jungle Patrol E (into Bilbao)
                    BilBao Guard SW
GuObs SW, attacks barb camp, kills barb, no damage. 25g.
                    Madrid Exp S, S, SE

                    Nina S, W, W

Pinta S, S, W (now south of Valencia)

Santa Maria SW, S, SW (next turn will venture into the unknown!)

Settler 1 S (headed for the spot in the bend of the river by wheat and ivory)
                    This settler needs protection!

Settler 2 (with Pikeman Guard) SW, S (headed for destination unknown. Suggestions??)

                    workers:
Ruby Group (3) moved NW onto Gems to begin roading (need to complete this for future trades)
Astrologix Group (3) rejoined S, SW of Salamanca. Will road next turn.
                    King + Barc ROAD
Aidun Worker NE (to mine along the river)

                    cities:
Vigo WF changed to 2-5-9-15. Granary in 3, no growth, 3 additional trade. This allows the granary to remain mostly full when built. It will be undone after granary construction to allow the city to grow quickly.

Zaragoza WF at 3-4-6-7-14 (Pike in 3)

Santiago WF changed 3-8-12. Growth in 1, settler in 1.

How about sending the Leon Guard down, and temporarily garrisoning Leon with the Last Cutting Edge while Zaragoza completes the next Pikeman?

Personally, I think those two settlers should be headed for the two remaining southern coastal sites. Then the Santiago settler should take the last western site. That would send an effective message to any civs eyeing our shores.
