Well, this turn we'll be finished with our barracks, and the next turn we expand to size 5 (!).

Therefore, next on the schedule are:

    Med. Inf. (Calamarquists)
    Settler

    Don Iago Calamari de Toledo
    Empire growing,
    Pleasures flowing,
Fortune smiles and so should you.

      R_M Group - Road (3 turns)

Astrologix group - [EDIT] after much consideration, so that they stay in the same time frame, this group will do the following:
      Visgoth - Irrigate (4 turns)
Atrologix - move to Salamanca #5, will road next turn (1+3 = 4 turns)
Dejon - move to Salamanca #6, will road next turn (1+3 = 4 turns)
After they are done, they will rejoin to build the road to the south and the Ivory.
      [/edit]

Castor & Pollox - Mine and then road (6+3-9 total turns)

      GK - mine (6 turns)

      NW & GT - road (3 turns)

      [EDIT]
      This requires a regal decision,
      EITHER
have Arnelos Group move towards and road the Silks NW of Toledo (12 turns total)
Orders: move to Toledo #7 (NW), will road next turn (5 turns total)

      OR

work on getting Balboa connected up
Orders: move to Toledo #2 (NE, NE), Arnelos will road next turn (3 turns) while HG Irrigates (4 turns). After they are done they then move into the jungle between Balboa and Toledo (Toledo #10) and start roading it. It will take a total of 5 turns to complete from when the first of the two start (total time - 10 turns).

King Group moves to Valencia #1, will both road next turn (2 turns).
      [/edit]

Our nation is still behind, and with so much land to fill and with Pamplona now dedicating itself to building "capital worthy" improvements, it comes time for us to ask, one last time, for a major settler boom. I've discussed this matter with E_T and he is strongly urging us to do this.

The way I see things, if every major city (Toledo, Pamplona, Zaragoza, Santiago, Barcelona) + Leon builds 1 settler, we will then have all of our remaining land settled. ONE LAST SETTLER and then a mixed focus of military, workers, and marketplaces.

Our numbers are growing, and while we'd take a dive when all of these settlers are built, we'll rise up faster in the long term with so many cities growing. Plus, more cities = more support for our military, and every single tile worked gives us trade to help our economy.

Therefore I now issue a Royal Edict that will begin the Great Western Settlement. I ask that the Lords volunteer to produce a settler in each of your fiefdoms. Those who can, please do now. Those who need to finish a project may do so later. However, the crown may overrule your curent project in accordance with this Royal Edict if it is deemed that a settler is urgent in your city.

Please post your questions or suggestions on this issue.

              Pamplona:

Unless Togas feels differently about this, change the queue to build another Settler

Pinchy would have wanted it that way I'm all for never building a settler again, but in the grand scheme of filling out the continent, I think it's necessary and I think our Great Lord would prefer not to wait 20 turns or there abouts to get Pamplona's contribution.

[edit]could the save be posted or could I get a copy, please. thanks[/edit]

                Barcelona : no changes.

I don't want to build a settler now. Barcelona is growing slowly and remains our only coastal city able to build ships. This city need to keep its potential to build ships fast.

I ask our King to let Barcelona continue its naval duties, even to let her to build a temple and possibly a marketplace/library if the war threats diminish in the near future.

I don't like wasting a worker, but it will get the Iron and the extra Gems connected soonest: If Togas wants, have Afornunadero build a mine and have the rest of the group move to the other Gems to road it (see my post in the Worker Thread).

                      Results

GS has invaded Vox, dropping a group of 7 behind Vox's chokepoint city with the use of their gallies. The war is definately still going on, however, this invasion may be the final blow for Vox.

GS and Vox are still at war.

We have a viable trade route to the Voxian

Those Seljuk tribes are still near Valencia

Santa Maria S, SE, SE (sees quite a lot of action! GS stack NW of Eliopolis= 2 Pike, 2 WC, 3 Inf. The Vox stack to the SE of the dual spears on a hill= 2 pike, 4 immortals, 3 Cats. There are 5 GS ships, one wounded one to the bottom. Only 1 Vox ship.)

Nina NE, NE, N (into Barcelona. Party!)

(Armada swords are in Barc, will need to be added to the Nina after it leaves port next turn)

                      workers:

                      Godking MINE
                      NW & GT workers ROAD

                      cities:
Zaragoza -- too late to change to Pikemen, Med Inf done next turn. Set queue to Pikemen next.

Toledo -- WF fixed. Set to build Med Inf in 8 turns.

Pamplona -- changed to Settler. Grows in 3, settler in 4.

Leon WF moved from 3 to 12. This makes the settler come in 3 turns, same as growth, however, it results in 1 less trade.

Togas, I didn't mean to change Zaragoza's production. The pikemen was meant as the next project.
