  • A possible way out...

If we so chose, we could easily tell Vox that our first galley was lost in treacherous waters after an executive decision was made in a desperate attempt to hasten aid to them due to the gravity of the situations.

They won't believe it 100%, and they don't have to. Then we stall when it comes to time estimates for getting the next galley over to them.

    Just an option...

I've already informed them that we sent the first galley up the coast and is 4-4-4-4-1 from Beta by the Sea. Two turns from lading there.

This is precisely the kind of thing that has made me think you've "gone native", BigFree. You are far too free with information with Vox.

Dejon, they did give us their full military deployment... telling them where a galley is pales in comparison.

I see what you're saying, but BetaHound gave us that due to sheer desperation, not because he's looking for quid-pro-quo.

True. I agree, in fact. Very true indeed...

But you have to admire that move, even if made our of desperation. What if we were in cahoots with GS? We could have had our troops occupying half of Vox's cities in 5 turns flat!

              Edit: We still could

dejon, we are coordinating Military actions as per order of our King. We expect Vox to give estimates for troop arivals and such, so should they expect the same. We cannot coordinate such things without sharing some information.

I assure you I have not "gone native."

Rather wait a bit until Vox's armies are destroyed by a GS army that outnumbers them. Then offer a deal to them, to let them hand all their cities over to us. Eventually we could offer them asylum in Spain.

That would sure irritate GS if Beta was made the Minister of Information and Propaganda for another team

We can make a deal with Vox first and then negotiate with GS. Perhaps we give them one city and have peace with them. I see no problem in that. As soon as Vox is dead and we are governing Voxia, there is no need to keep all those cities for ourselves and the Voxians have no right to speak anymore.

I wasn't very serious when I posted this, but the more I think about this, the more I get the idea that it's not a bad solution.

Actually, I like the idea. The only problem is the culture in Egypt, which is swiftly growing.

and very far away from Eygpt

I had proposed the idea in chat with turning on Vox and taking those cities ourselves. That would atleast keep GS from getting them for a time.

[EDIT] We would also get Incense that way, without having to buy it from someone. [/edit]
