  • 470 (04): Orders, Results, Discussion

This is a just-in-case thread. If the save actually begins to move faster, I wanted to be able to get the orders in for Pamplona as I will be out of town until Sunday evening CST.

    So... just in case

Pamplona: reaches size 5, continue building Temple, set the WFs to:
    Code:
        #2, shielded grassland
        #7, cattle bonus
        #8, cattle bonus
        #19, shielded grassland
        [B]#20, grassland[/B]
    ...otherwise lock this thread Thanks.

We need to make sure to move away from the ND settler in the North Valley. When we get the save, let's be sure to move 2 tiles away from the settler.

From the 490 BC turn thread, E_T:

We discussed changing Pamplona to something else besides a temple, but decided against it this turn.....
I'd like to know what was discussed for other options. If there is a bigger picture I'm missing with something else coming first or another option that was overlooked, I'd be happy to consider it. Though, I would like to be consulted (or removed from my position) before any action is taken without my consent. I think if it had been changed afterall, you should have expected me to want an explanation... whether the change was justifiable or not.

Please propose how many pikes we'll want, which ones should be upgraded, etc.

Do we want to start researching Theology with 1 scientist?

Nothing to report here in Toledo. Next turn we expand to size three. And in eight turns we have a barracks!

                Don Iago Calamari de Toledo
                Empire growing,
                Pleasures flowing,
Fortune smiles and so should you.

                    You scamps ...

Its too late for all that now. I already looked at the save and started wondering if there were other possibilities

We just hooked up the gems. With three luxuries, the temple's biggest function at this point in history would be to expand the borders northeast of the city and get us some better defense.

I'm starting to think a Granary would be a good idea sooner than later and coupled with the city's already strong growth potential. The only problem would be the fact that there a plenty of unimproved tiles around the city. Maybe our workers could remedy that situation in the near future A marketplace would improve cash flow.

I want to poll on it, and I may run a few scenarios. But I'm on it...

LzPrst has made me notice that the cities screen are not online. My apologies for the problems it may cause. I will actualize them this night at 22:00 Spain time (20:00 GMT)

Definitely, it seems advisable to devote one citizen to scientific research, because the benefits are much bigger than the production/commerce/food we lost.

However, this is more easy to say than to do. The problem is to find the idoneous city that can afford to remove one citizen from their lands and turn it into scientist. But if we find that city, then I fully support this idea

Who's city should we use for such a plan?

                            Any nominations?
