Your Holiness, may I suggest an addition to the Law on Priests, Article I?

          The proposed addition would read:

"Article I. Thou shalt not marry a woman, for in thy ordination thy hath been wed to the Holy Church, just as Christ Himself hath been wed to the Church. For just as the Church is His Own Spouse, so the Church is your only spouse."

And, from the Laws of the Laymen:

"Article II. Thou shalt not divorce from a wife or husband. If such a time arises when a seperation is called for, thy shall submit thy case to the Curia. If thy case is found to be one that sincerely calls for seperation, the Pope may allow an anullment."

Respectfully submitted to thee, Your Holiness. May God judge all of your decisions, as always.

And what about those gospels that say that The Son of Our Lord Jesus Christ, most Holy in His Grace, felt a love more than that of caring brother for Mary Magdalene? A merchant was selling One of those right the other day, on the main square of Madrid...

Wich makes me ask to you, Holy men, what is the Church´s position to burning a whole city because some veery few are paranoid about a plague that had almost no victims so far?

                    Law on the Inquisition

Article I. Every suspect has the right to defend himself or herself in trial.

Article II. Every suspect has the right to use any method to convince the judges of his innocense as long as this does not harm the Church, its servants and the Inquisition.

Article III. The Inquisition has the right to use any method to prove its accusation is right. The suspect may not die as a consequence of the method that was used by the Inquisition to gain evidence.

Article IV. The punishments the Inquisition can use to punish the suspect are:
                    1. Fine. Suspects that cannot pay their fine are condemned to serfdom for the time that is equal to paying their fine.
                    2. Missionary work
                    3. Serfdom
                    4. Exile
                    5. Torture
                    6. Death though 1) hanging on the gallow; 2) burning at a stake.
                    7. A combination of the previous punishments.

Article V. If the suspect shows repentance during the entire trial, this should be taken into account when the judge determines the punishment.

                    Article VI.
                    a. Witchcraft as a special form of heressy is forbidden, the only suitable punishment is to burn at a stake.
                    b. Witchcraft can only be proved by binding weights at the arms and legs of the suspected man or woman. If the suspect is drowned, his or her name is cleared of accusations and becomes subject to sanctity. If the suspect does not sink, he or she is a proved witch.

Article VII. It is forbidden to kill heretics that have not yet been judged by the Inquisition. If a heretic has been judged by the inquisition it is also forbidden to kill the heretic person.

Article VIII. Suspects may only be punished for crimes of which the Inquisition can prove they are committed.

Article IX. Suspects may not attemt to flee to escape from trial, neither attempt to escape trial.

Article X. Suspects have the right to ask the Pope for pardon. To the decision of the Pope there is no escape.

Article XI. The Inquisition has a tribunal of judges and a prosecutor. This Tribunal is called the Tribunal of the Inquisition and contain three Judges of the Inquisition. One of them is the chairman of this tribunal and is Called the Head of Inquisition. Under normal circumstances the Tribunal of the Inquisition will judge.

Article XII. The judicial power of the Pope.

Section A. The Pope has judicial power to:
                    1. set aside any judgement made by the Tribunal of the Inquisition. The restriction to this is that the Pope is only allowed to do this after the final judgement has been made by the Tribunal of the Inquisition or the Head of Inquisition*, but not during the trial.
                    2. Decide that the trial will be done by only the Head of Inquisition.
                    3. replace judges of the Tribunal of the Inquisition or the Head of Inquisition* during a trial or after a trial if the Pope judges them to be biased.
                    4. Interfere in the trial by presenting rules that apply to the ongoing trial only.
                    5. question the prosecutor, the accused suspect and the witnesses;
                    6. judge whether the accused suspect is guilty or unguilty. In his judgement the Pope has to take all evidence into account and argue why he has made the decision he has made. The Pope needn't to defend his decision in a debate with the prosecutor or anyone else.
                    7. decide which punishment he inflicts on the accused suspect if he or she is found guilty. The Pope needn't to defend this decision in a debate with the prosecutor or anyone else. The Pope can agree with the punishment that is proposed by the prosecutor or not, that is up to the Pope himself.

Section B. The Pope is oliged to:
                    1. not neglect any evidence that is shown to him, whether it is a testification of a witness, physical evidence, written evidence and pronunciations of any person that the prosecutor thinks to be relevant to this case.
                    1. argue why he judges the accused suspect guilty or unguilty. He has to do this by arguing why certain evidence is more important than other evidence.

Article XIII. The Head of the Inquisition.

The task Head of the Inquisition is to:
                    1. make sure that the judges of the Tribunal of the Inquisition make a judgement in the trial that is presented before the Tribunal of the Inquisition.
                    2. lead the trial. The Head of the Inquisition has the power to decide that certain issues should be left out of the trial because they are not relevant to the trial. Any person except the Pope, even the other judges of the inquisition have to obey this decision.
                    3. make sure that the Tribunal of the Inquisition has one judgement. In case the judgements of the three judges do not fit, he has to find a way to make them fit. This can for instance be done by negotiation or by vote.
                    4. publish the judgement of the Tribunal of the Inquisition.

                    Article XIV. Judges.

Section A. Judges have the power to:
                    1. question the prosecutor, the accused suspect and the witnesses;
                    2. judge whether the accused suspect is guilty or not. In their judgement judges have to take all evidence into account and argue why they have made the decision they have made. Judges needn't to defend this decision in a debate with the prosecutor or anyone else.
                    3. decide which punishment they inflict on the accused suspect if he or she is found guilty. Judges needn't to defend this decision in a debate with the prosecutor or anyone else. Judges can agree with the punishment that is proposed by the prosecutor or not, that is up to the judge himself

Section B. Judges are obliged to:
                    1. not neglect any evidence that is shown to them, whether it is a testification of a witness, physical evidence, written evidence and pronunciations of any person that the prosecutor thinks to be relevant in this trial.
                    2. argue why they judge the accused suspect guilty or unguilty. They have to do this by arguing why certain evidence is more important than other evidence.
                    3. Inform the Head of the Inquisition of their judgement.
                    4. be unbiased. If any person publicly accuses a judge of a biased attitude towards either party, he has to prove this before the Pope by starting a trial.

                    Article XV. Prosecutors.

                    Prosecutors have the right to:
                    1. start an inquiry when a punishable fact has been committed. This means a break of the Law of the Church.
                    2. Collect any evidence. There are no restrictions to collecting evidence, but the prosecutor needs permission of the Tribunal of the Inquisition or Head of Inquisition* to use force to collect evidence.
                    3. arrest any person whom he suspects to be significantly related to the committed punishable fact(s).
                    4. start a trial if he thinks he has enough evidence and he thinks there is a good chance that the accused suspect shall be found guilty.
                    5. Present evidence against the accused suspect to the Tribunal of the Inquisition or Head of Inquisition*. This evidence can include testifications of witnesses, physical evidence, written evidence and pronunciations of any person that he thinks to be relevant in this trial.
                    6. make a proposal to the Tribunal of the Inquisition or Head of Inquisition* for a punishment.
                    7. bring the case before the Pope if he considers the unacceptable. He has to argue why he considers it unacceptable. If the Pope considers his arguments rightly, the case is officially brought before the Pope and the Tribunal of the Inquisition or Head of Inquisition* has no power, nor role in the case anymore.
                    8. Present evidence against the accused suspect to the Pope. This evidence can include testifications of witnesses, physical evidence, written evidence and pronunciations of any person that prosecutor thinks to be relevant to this case.
                    9. make a proposal to the Pope for a punishment.

Article XVI. Any person has to obey decisions made by the Tribunal of the inquisition, the Head of Inquisition or the Pope.

Article XVII. The Head of the Inquisition is a judge of the inquisition. All rules that apply to the judges of the inquisition apply to him to unless the Law of the Church states different or the Pope decides different.

Article XVIII. Any person has the right to accuse a judge of a biased attitude . He or she has to bring evidence before the Pope and prove this. This evidence can include testifications of witnesses, physical evidence, written evidence and pronunciations of any person that he or she thinks to be relevant in this trial.

                    * In case there is no Tribunal of the Inquisition or the pope has decided that the trial will be done by only the Head of Inquisition.

This is only meant to have a few things cleared up. We cannot judge people in a fair way, unless we write down rules for that game.
I want to prevent that people get irritated from the actions of the watcher, who is now Head of the Inquisition. It is not the watcher's faulth that some of our fellow teammembers got irritated, but the mistake of us all because we didn't write down rules.

                          But again
