  • New diplomacy discussion thread

This is the new diplomacy discussion chamber of the palace. In here we can give advises to the Chief Ambassador, the ambassadors, and of course the King and discuss the foreign policy.

I start the discussion with the first suggestion:

If we are going to buy Feudalism from GoW, it would be good to contact Vox and discuss a price we are going to ask for it. GoW will probably try to sell it for the highest price possible. One of us asks for a lower price than the other and thus GoW will not suspect both of us for 'cheating' (or how do you call that in english?) them.

In prior conversation with Vox we offered to sell them Feudalism but they replied that they have a deal worked out with GoW ... which doesn't surprise me as GoW has already sent in troops (or so it has been reported).

I have a new and bold idea that we should try to impliment. It's a modified Tech Alliance that Vox and/or GoW might be interested in...

We agree with the target nation that we will both split evenly the cost of ANY tech that is purchased that both of us don't have. Therefore, if Vox buys Feudualism for 75g, we send them 37 or 38g and they send us Feudalism.

If we buy it, they send us half the price and we send the tech.

This would not apply to any trades or any self-researched tech, of course.

We would also keep this agreement a secret so as to not tip off the sellers and encourage them to raise prices.

By using this sort of agreement we could effectively cut our tech purchasing costs in half, we just need to partner with a nation who is in a similar financial situation. It may also be possible to partner with two nations and do this deal ... unless both of them buy a tech, as we can't very well split the cost with them both.

I believe that we should write up a proposal for this idea and first present it to Vox. If they bite, we go along. This would mostly be a way for us to counter GoW's tenacious techwhoring and ensure that they make less cash by being middle men.

I second that notion. Nuclear Winter, will you please include that proposal to Vox in your next message to them? Thanks

I have reason to beleave that GoW has sold Feudalism to Lego.

Would they be dumb enough to sya this in such an obvious manner? I say Yes, they would. Besides, the confirmates the fact that they are trying to improove their relationships with Lego.

As for Vox, still no answer.... :|

Interesting idea Togas...... Do you have some formal language in mind, or just something informal.
