  • Evacuation Plan

NDE will be in our capital 4 turns from now. There's not really much we can do to stop them at this point. Evacuation is our only option. Luckily, we can pull it off.

We finish the settler in Invictus in 3 turns (1600 BC). This means that we will finish it right after they'll have moved their stack adjacent to our capital. Just as they get adjacent to our city, they'll see Invictus size 3, then on our turn, we'll produce the settler, it will go to size 1. We'll then abandon Invictus. They won't ever see it go to size 1 (since we'll produce the settler and abandon the city all on the same turn), so they won't suspect anything.

Felix, being our last city, will become our capital. Both GoW and NDE will assume that it's our last city. By the time they destroy it, our settler-worker stack will be long gone to the south.

Preventing our settler from being detected is very important. If they get a glance of him, then it will probably be game over, since they can simply follow us until they catch us. Luckily, using our road near Invictus, we can escape without them noticing. As you can see in my evac plan image, we'll be out of the sight range of the NDE stack the same turn that we finish the settler. So unless they move a unit E, SE or S they won't ever see us.

The plan I've come up with calls for us to bring 1 Spearmen, 1 Warrior, our Worker and the Settler down south to start a new empire. This will be enough to thwart any wandering Warriors from attacking our stack, and we'll be able to start relatively firmly once we find a new city site. The 4 units will cost 4 gold per turn to support, so with our treasury of ~190 we'll be able to wander around for around 47 turns before we run out of cash.

By the time GoW and NDE realize that Felix isn't our last outpost, we'll be far to the south and out of harms way.

    What do you all think?

Although once the realize it, they will probably just hunt us down, but its worth a shot.
