  • Game Report 1790 BC

I'll leave the out-of-game stuff for the other threads, which have plenty of info for those who are interested.
    • Settled city #3, 'Campus Felix' (Fertile Plain) this turn, and started building our last Spearman.
    • Moved our two warriors in the Military Border on the NDE border down 1 tile each (still adjacent, and not in their border), as they continue to 'patrol' the area.
    • Our worker finishes the road this turn.
    • Vox offered us Mysticism, and I offered 24 gold in return, which they should return the deal next turn.
    Other notes:
    • GoW is building The Pyramids in their capital, which is size 3, and whose border is at level 3 now.
    • NDE's cities are now at size 4 (their capital) and the other two are at size 3. My concerns about the prospects of a military build-up are re-affirmed.

24 gold? I thought we were going to offer them Warrior Code.

(this may be a better deal though - if you discussed it with them)

They discovered that GoW had given it to them as a gift (either on purpose or by accident), which was the important issue that BH had to discuss with us as you were leaving. I therefore re-negotiated the deal for the cancelling of their debt towards us (4 gold), and for 20 gold.

I feel the apparent ND military buildup is #1 concern for us. Judging from recent conversations, it appears they are either going to try to rush RP or us. How many turn is left on the current RP allaince deal? There has been some suggestion that we should just hope that ND attacks RP and let them fight each other. While this would be nice, we cannot risk ND attacking us with no other help on our side. I know Trip talked to GoW about possible alliance vs. RP, but I am skeptical about their willingness to help since they have just started the Pyramids and I can't imagine they would want to get involved in a miltary conflict early in the game with once city tied up in wonder production.

Their cities are far too large. I predict the opening of conflict within about 15 turns. We must be ready for as soon as 10.

The alliance with Roleplay, I believe, began in 2470 BC. That would mean we're on turn #18, and it will expire in 1710 BC. How dates creep up on you.

Perhaps some re-negotiation is in order.
