  • Game Report 1870 BC

    Plenty of stuff both in and out of game to talk about.

    In-game:

    General things:
    4 turns away from a new settler in Invictus. This is good. Still quite a few turns away from Barracks in Regio... BFM and I were discussing switching its production to a Horseman, due to growing concerns about NDE.

    - GoW built a city on the northern coast, blocking where we were planning on building a city, so now we have to find a new place to build. Moved the settler S out of GoW territory, and will move him W next turn.

    - Moved some units around to contain barbarians and stuff.

    - Moved our worker to the horses tile. We'll have them connected to every city in 2 turns.

    - Moved the two warriors in the Military Border adjacent to NDE to put some pressure on them, and possibly make them think twice about expanding in that direction.

    Out-of-Game:

    Lots of stuff here, I will detail it more in other threads...

    - I started talking with GoW about certain matters. Something that concerned me was that GoW said that they heard that we would not trade them Writing, and somehow got the impression that we wanted to declare war upon them. Now, I have no clue how this happend, but in the future, always either post a thread on what you're going to be telling them, or run what you want to say by either BFM or myself, who have the best grasp upon the diplomatic situation. Panzer informed me that their team is firmly in the NDE camp. This is unacceptable. Weeks of work with GoW have been erased because of a recent incident, and I'm not too happy about this...

    - BFM and I were working on a deal with RP to trade them contact with Vox for Writing. However, this would work out that we actually trade contact with RP to Vox and get Mysticism (as we should have to begin with), and we'll get Writing from RP in the deal, if things go correctly. This is a big for us, if it works out. Chances are they'll get contact with each other soon anyways... this way we can get 2 techs for it.

    - NDE has some big cities... this gives me the impression that they're building up for war. We must be very careful now. BFM and I agreed that from now on, Invictus should build settlers, and all other cities are to build Horsemen. We will have cities #3 and #4 built within 5 turns.

    We need 4-5 horsemen at a minimum to stop any potential rushes.If NDE does attack they will wait till there have at least 10 units I think. I would be VERY careful of a potential sword rush. They could simply be building vet warriors right now and upgrade them all to swords and attempt to rush Regio.

      Well, they've linked the iron, so that's not much of a possibility.

      I do agree, we need at least 5 Horsemen, at the very least, simply for protection.
