  • Small victory for Lux Invicta

While we were not able to intimidate the settler away with the strategic position that our phalnax was holding, they did give up and just settled where they were, leaving us the chance to occupy the horse in the plain field. Without any horsemen, We won't have to fear any mounted attacks. If they don't have iron (they mountainous so they probably will though) its a double whammy for them.

In addition GF revealed NDE has agreed not to settle south with RP. This increases the chance that they may not have a horse, should one exist underneath.

Currently, the second city of NDE's whereabout is unknown. We need more intelligence. They may have horse or iron in there.

I think their 2nd city is fairly close to their capital, by looking at the odd-shaped border around their capital

Move 1 square north and settle there. This tile is on the river, which has a good advantage.

It's actually not on the river. That's where we planned to plop it anyways.

Though I would have liked to have had that city spot, this will probably work more for us than against us. GoW is on a peninsula like us, but they're farther back into it. If we had built our city there, then that would have meant WE would have cut off GoW to the rest of the continent. That would have meant that the only way for them to expand would have been through us first. This way, if we jointly attack NDE, we can each take portions of it and things can remain peaceful between us.

Small victory eh? None of you has played against me...but then, again, you would not react like the AI does...at any rate, let us relax for a minute and digest the calm that rests before the dawn...
